I groaned, pulling her closer to me, and she smiled into the kiss. “Don’t be afraid, Little Poseidon. You can touch me.”
I liked it when she told me what to do. I liked not thinking or worrying. If she could tell me what she wanted, I would give her everything she wanted. My crown, my cock, my tongue —
Her lips parted, her tongue testing my lips, beckoning them to open. And when I did, opened my mouth and felt the softness of our tongues. I reveled in it, thankful we were far from shore, and Zeus couldn’t spy on me in my domain. I squeezed her tightly to my body, and she pushed her breasts closer to my chest. Her fingers trailed around my neck, going down my chest and onto my stomach.
I inhaled a rush of air into my lungs, my cock twitching at her proximity. Her finger prodded the seam of my trunks.
She’s going to touch it.
But unfortunately, two slapping hands on the side of the boat broke our moment.
Medusa’s Snakes, I was ready to kill the entire ocean!
Two heads popped up—Teritris and Strom. I willed a wave and slammed into the boat, knocking their heads into the side.
“Oh god, I forgot they were here!” Lani tried to back away, but I held her to me, keeping my hands over her backside. “Are they okay!? Where did they go?!”
“Maybe we should get in the water,” I said, ignoring her questions. I pulled her to the opposite side of the boat.
“You sure?”
I nodded. “Of course, they are used to the sea. They will be fine,” I grumbled.
Stupid sirens.
“We need goggles,” she said. “I need my fins, too.” She continued to pull at my arm.
“Just your fins, you won’t need your goggles,” I said.
She raised a brow but did what she was asked. “I don’t? How am I going to see? Did you bring something?”
I chuckled, pulling her back to the end of the boat. I allowed her to put on her fins and sat down next to her. “You won’t need your goggles for this. Do you trust me?” I held out my hand, and she immediately took it.
“With my life,” she said without hesitation. I smiled, leaning forward, and she met me halfway for a gentle peck.
“I’m going to pull you under. You need to keep your eyes closed. I’ll let you know when you can open your eyes, but I have a feeling you will know when to open them.” I smiled at her and pulled her into the water with me.
The ocean was calm; the sea looked like glass. I could see my sirens on the other side of the boat, waiting and watching what their future queen would do.
“Cy?” Lani’s voice shook as I led her further from the boat. I stopped and pulled her next to me. Her body shook, and it wasn’t from freezing.
“What’s wrong?” I panicked, ready to take her back to the boat.
“It’s just, I won’t be able to see. How far down are we going? How long do I need to hold my breath? What’s going to happen?” Her beautiful multicolored eyes stared back at me with such trust, but the other emotion that I had seen before was fear. It was the same look my brothers and sisters had when they saw Kronos try to take away our home.
“Are you scared, my island flower? You said you trusted me,” I asked.
Aphrodite said that women could say one thing and mean another. But I knew she trusted me, so why was she scared now?
She bit her lip, her head resting on my shoulder. “Yes, I trust you, and I don’t know why this is hard to say. But I am scared. I know I said I wasn’t afraid to go into the water, to swim and surf again, but when you take away my sight, and not knowing when I can breathe again–”
“You remember your near drowning?” I interrupted.
She nodded. “The part where I couldn’t see in the water, not knowing when I would be able to breathe, not having control—”
I knew all about the fear of not having control. I’d slowly learned to overcome it with Lani. She put me in situations I was not familiar with, but I trusted her. I was giving her all my inhibitions, but what right did she have to trust me? I saved her once.
But I was lying to her, not telling her who I was.
