If I was told six months ago, I would soon meet my second chance, I would have instantly tied them to a chair and brutally tortured them until I was satisfied. I would have done everything in my power so they would not speak of mates, because I was so sacred.

But now I had her, I truly had my second chance. A woman that had changed me for the better. I’d found my heart, my wolf, my place within the pack that would continue to grow into something so ordinary that we had craved all our lives.

Only this time, we had the goddess on our side. She was rectifying everything the rejected had lost and was bringing those that had missed their chance back to the plane of the living to sync their souls with another.

“You’re thinking too hard,” Journey taunted as our wolves spotted a deer in the clearing.

Our wolves were readying themselves for a kill, but I still couldn’t clear my mind, thinking about how grateful I was for this moment.

A mate at my side, my soul ever intertwined with hers, and a family with the Iron Fang I never knew I needed.

“I love you,”I muttered to her.

Our wolves took no notice as they surrounded their prey.

“And I love you too, my big and scary Grim Reaper.”
