“This is weird,” Hudson suddenly says, causing me to jump.
He shakes with laughter. I pinch his nipple.Hard. He’s not laughing anymore.
“What’s weird?” I ask.
“This, how natural it all feels.”
He’s right, it does. Everything about this feels so normal, like this is what it’s meant to be like, and I really,reallylike it.
“I agree,” I say on a sigh, closing my eyes, already feeling sleep tugging at me.
He kisses the top of my head and reaches over to turn the lamp off.
My breathing evens out and I’m almost asleep, barely hanging on, when Hudson speaks next.
“I fell. I totally fucking fell,” he says on a whisper, kissing my head once more.
I smile, knowing exactly what he means, and slip into slumber.
