“Smells good,” Crux poked at his own take out box. “I have a hard time trusting food trucks, though.”

“You’ve never had Bao Down?” Rowan was astonished. “Damn, they were a tradition for Indigo’s heats. They’re good for protein and carb loading. Keeps the energy up.”

I wolfed down my first bao bun, so hungry I didn’t even chew, I just swallowed the entire thing in one go. The three male alphas stared at me, stunned. When I realized what I had done, I giggled. “Excuse me.”

Halo came out of her room, showered, hair braided and wearing an easily removable tank top and cut off sweat pants.

“Smells good in here.” She swiped Crux’s chopsticks from his hand and picked out a dumpling from his container, and popped it in her mouth before Rowan passed her a fresh box. She stole a quick glance at Rowan’s neck but said nothing.

We settled around the dining table.

“How are you feeling?” Halo asked.

“Starving,” I said, picking a new bun. “Feverish. Thirsty. Throat’s sore, but I like it.”

As if commanded to do it, Severen went to the fridge and grabbed a fresh icy bottle of water, cracked it open and passed it to me. Without a word, I drank, feeling both obedient, and parched. The cold water was so incredibly soothing.

We ate, and I crammed as many bao buns into my stomach as I could until I was finally satiated. The warm, filling food was a cozy comfort, almost like a hug.

Clean up was halfway through when I began panting again, and couldn’t stifle the whine that escaped me. “...alpha?” I asked, requesting one of them, any of them.

It was Severen who scooped me up into his arms and returned me to my nest, my chair, and as soon as he put me down in it, my blanket fell away and we all remembered how naked I was. I turned and put my knees on the seat. Kneeling on the chair backwards, I jutted out my ass, my chest heaving with each panted breath.

“Alpha,” I begged again, slick sliding down my thighs. “Please. I need your knot.”

“Who do you want, bluebird?” Crux asked, his voice smooth and teasing.

“I don’t care,” I mewled, wiggling my butt in anticipation. “Anyone. I just need it.” I was panting so deeply that my tongue lolled out between my pink lips, and a drop of saliva shivered on the tip, stretched down, and stayed there until the thread broke and the tiny crystal drop landed on my nipple.

Someone was at my ass and I purred in anticipation as his cock slid between my thighs to bask in fresh slick. Then, he was inside me and I could tell from the unfamiliarity that it was Rowan. I leaned back into his chest and he hugged me from behind as his hips pumped and he fucked me. I turned my head, sought out his mouth and pulled him into a passionate kiss.

And then…

The five of us went absolutely wild.

Somehow I ended up draped across the chair’s arms, one alpha inside me and both my hands working knots as I drowned in Halo’s silky pussy as she sat on my face. Severen held me in his arms, my knees over his shoulders as he fucked me hard while Crux buried his knot in my tight, needy ass. On the bed, on all fours, pinned in place and unable to move because of the three knots, one in each of my holes. There was no logic, no linear progression, just heat, and rut, and lust. My heart pounded hard enough that we could all hear it. My body was on fire, then quelled by the knots, only for the temperature, the burning need, to rise again.

But with a fourth alpha in the pack, with Rowan, I was never alone, not for a single moment. My demands were fulfilled the instant they were brought into existence. I was truly cared for, safe, loved, and healthy.

My pack and I, we were home.

Sincemyheat,Iwas aware of a completely different energy all through the house. It was comfortable and fulfilling, like the contentment a person might feel after a wonderful meal. Like everything was as it should be.

A new morning routine had developed. Halo would make us all breakfast smoothies, then she, Rowan and Tracker would go for their morning run together, which I adored. Rowan fit in perfectly with our pack.

I perched like a mongoose by the front door, waiting all morning for the mail truck. I kept checking and rechecking the postage tracking app on my phone, obsessively stalking the package. It was twenty minutes late.

When the mail truck finally arrived I practically pounced.

“It’s here!” I yelled. I gripped the knob to the front door but forced myself to wait before opening, the delivery driver hadn’t even gotten out of the truck yet. By the time he was halfway up our steps to the front porch I couldn’t wait any longer and threw open the door.

“Hi, package for Severen He–?”

“I can sign.” I eagerly snatched the little digipad and scrawled my name, then took the manilla envelope from him. “Thank you.”
