Adam chuckles and kisses my cheek. “I’m glad we could help with that dry-cleaning bill.”
“So that’s Alex Lexington?” Gabe asks, gesturing to the table with his chin. “I haven’t seen her in over a decade.”
“She’s single.” I waggle my eyebrows. “Shall I send her over?”
They share a look, and Gabe nods. “If she’s interested, by all means.”
“Oh, this is fun.” I grin and turn around to return to the table, and when I sit down, all I can do is grin at Alex.
“Well?” Dani demands, waving her hand in front of my face. “Did they make you short-circuit?”
“What happened, then?” Skyla asks. “You can’t just sit there and smile.”
“Oh, they’d be down for a threesome,” I reply, taking a sip of Alex’s drink. “But not with me.”
“Huh.” Alex eyes them and sips her drink. “With who, then? You’re hot as fuck tonight.”
“That’s Gabe Blackwell, friend. And he’s eyeing you up, so you should go over there. They’re hot, they’re nice, and holy shit, they’d rock your world.”
“Hmm.” Alex sips her drink and eyes the two men, who are staring right back, smiling. “Gabe has changed alot. Jesus, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen him.”
“He’s so different,” Dani agrees.
“Looks like they’re hoping you’ll go over there.” I gesture to Alex in a Vanna White way, and they both nod. “Do it, Alex. For all of womankind, I’m begging you to go have sex with those two men.”
She bites her lip and looks at each of us. “Yeah?”
“Yes,” Dani and Skyla say at the same time.
“But be careful,” Dani adds.
“See you bitches later.”
“Tomorrow, with a full report,” I call out after her as she grabs her purse and saunters over to the men, who smile at her and hold her hands, and then they send me a wink and a smile.
I wave back as if to say,it’s all good. Go have fun,and then sigh in happiness.
“You know I feel good about the fact that I just helped one of my closest friends have some great sex tonight.”
“We don’t know if it’s great sex yet,” Dani reminds me.
“Look at them,” I reply. “Also, trust me. She’s going to have a lot of fun.”
“Now I’m sad because you’re the only one not getting some this evening, and you look incredible,” Skyla says. We all watch Adam and Gabe surround Alex, and I’m excited for my friend.
Good for her.
“I’ll live. Trust me.”
Just then, Bridger and Beckett stroll inside, looking for their girls.
“We’re taking you home,” Bridger says to his wife, planting a kiss on her lips as his hands dive into her hair at the back of her neck.
I notice Alex leaving, walking between the two men, a huge smile on her face.
“Who has Birdie?” I ask Bridger.
“She ended up going to Holden and Millie’s for a few hours to watch a movie, and it’s not over yet, so I’m here to claim my wife before we pick her up.”
