SIXTY
LEIGHTON
Kiara was safe.
Her distress had already decreased in the time it took me to get away from Tobias. My omega was letting Ambrose help her now, because she trusted the pack to get me back safe.
And they had.
Trying to escape from that room may not have been my best plan—but how was I supposed to know that help was coming? Was upstairs already? Their timing could have been fucking better.
I’d managed to live through it because of these two men.
Dash hadn’t let go of me for a second, not as we sprinted across the vast lawn to the back of the van and definitely not as we hopped in to find Kiara in Ambrose’s arms, his knot filling her up.
“Leighton,” Kiara mumbled. Her eyes were glassy, hips squirming on Ambrose. She inhaled sharply, then snapped her gaze to mine with far more clarity. A little whine left her, and she reached for me with one hand while the other grasped Ambrose’s shirt. “I love you.”
“I love you too, little omega,” I murmured, winding our fingers together. I knelt behind her, my chest to her back. After being forced apart, I was as desperate for the touch as she was. “We’re going to take you home, OK?”
Dash’s presence was at my back. Mercury moved further into the van, one hand trying to discreetly cover his mouth and nose. One woman sat up front, driving—I would have been furious at her presence while my omega was in heat, but she was an omega herself. It wasn’t exactly acceptable, but I wasn’t going to fly into a rage.
“No,” Kiara said, shaking her head. “Can we go somewhere else?”
I frowned. Ambrose pulled her closer to his chest and buried his face against her shoulder. One of his arms came to wrap around me, bundling all three of us together.
“They dragged her out of her nest,” he explained, growling. “The fucking cops came—they got a tip that we kidnapped her. She was dragged out screaming before she was taken by Tobias in the parkade.”
I squeezed her hand, wrapping my free arm around her torso. It was a challenge to avoid a growl and start purring instead. It came out as kind of an angry purr. What kind of law enforcement officer dragged an omega from their nest while they were in heat?
One who was in Tobias’ pocket, obviously.
But what higher up fucking allowed that?
“You three have an apartment, right?” I asked, looking at the pack. They nodded. “We’ll go there. Someone can pick up some of her unsoiled nest materials later. Once she’s… settled.”
More like taken care of. She needed a lot more than one knot to satisfy her after so long under stress and without sex. I didn’t have my knot strap-on, so the guys would have to take the first round.
Although, there was always fisting. I’d heard that for a sapphic pair, it worked almost as well as a knot.
“I can pick them up right away,” Mercury offered after giving their address to the omega getaway driver.
Kiara whined and he looked at her with his eyebrows drawn together. The man was befuddled—funny, for someone who was normally so smart. Apparently, Kiara bringing his clothes into the nest wasn’t enough to inform him that our omega also wantedhimthere.
“Did you want something specific, little omega?” Mercury asked hesitantly.
She whined louder, squirming on Ambrose’s lap. They’d gone a round by the time we’d gotten into the car, but by the choked moan Ambrose let out, they were going for another before his knot deflated.
“You’re notleaving,” she said, accompanied by a soft, puppy-like growl.
“But you need your nest—”
“I need your knot. Andyou.”
Mercury’s cheeks went a bit pink. Dash huffed a laugh, pressing his chest to my side and resting his chin on my shoulder.
“I shouldn’t. There’s not really consent during a heat, and we never really…”
“She gave consent,” I said. “Kiara told me before her heat that she wanted all three of you to help her through it.”
