I clickedon the link he sent. It opened up to a short video with the caption, “Hudson Shaw has a secret girlfriend??”
Hudson and Neil were sitting together on a couch. The clip was clearly from the middle of the livestream because it started with Neil mid-sentence rambling about how he didn’t have a girlfriend while Hudson was looking off-camera.
“How about you, Hudson?” Neil asked just as Hudson turned to the camera again.
“Do I have a girlfriend?” Hudson asked. He was looking at something out of the corner of his eye, and I would bet anything it was Megan. “As a matter of fact, I do.”
“Why don’t you tell them about her?” Neil suggested.
“She’s….” He turned his head to look in the same direction as before, but even without seeing his whole face, I could see the utter look of love on it. No prizes for guessing who he was looking at. "She's the most beautiful girl in the world. And she's funny too—the kind of funny where she doesn't quite realize it, you know? And she never thinks highly enough of herself even though she's the best girl in the whole world. I know everybody in the world thinks that about their girlfriends, but I'm the only one that's right because nobody would ever compare to her. She's such a ray of sunshine and happiness and..." He sigheddeeply. "And I'm in love with her. And I am the luckiest guy in the world to be able to say that she’s in love with me too."
I sighed as well. There weren’t many boys like Hudson in the world.
