I really only said it to be funny because I’d never actually fallen asleep in class before. I’d been tempted loads of times, but I was way too much of a rule-follower to actually do it. Sloane, on the other hand, slept through at least one class a day.

I let my phone drop back down onto the bed and stared up at the ceiling with a smile. They wouldprobably figure out that I wasn’t who they thought I was by tomorrow, but at least they gave me something fun to do tonight while I couldn’t sleep. After a summer of seeing almost nobody, it was nice to feel like I had a few friends.

Even if it was only for tonight.
