@meganwhite0202if you care so much, why don’t you make a poll like he suggested

See, this was why I never posted anything online, especially about celebrities. I couldn’t say a single thing without their fans jumping down my throat. I wondered if it had occurred to any of them that the boys were following me because they knew me in person. Probably not, though—I bet they wanted to believe I was just some random fan the boys happened to follow because then there was a chance it could happen to them too.

@meganwhite0202boring but fine. I vote yes

I couldn’t help but be a little bit snarky in my reply, just to spite all the other people who responded.

Why Are You Following Me@meganwhite0202

@hudsonshawthank you. Was that so hard?

Neeeeeeeil@neilhadley

For what it’s worth, I vote yes too (and so does Zach. Finn’s not sure but his opinion doesn’t matter anyway)

Finny@finnparker

@neilhadleyjust @ me next time wow

I shut off my phone as the replies started to pour in, both cursing me for speaking to Hudson that way and demanding to know why Neil followed me too. Honestly, they would probably have an aneurysm when they realized that all five of the boys were following me now. I decided not to worry about any of them or what they thought about that, though. What was more important right now were the votes of the boys—that they thought yes, it was possible.

Now, I was just left to wonder whether there was any way that Bay felt the same way about me.

My routine stayed prettyconsistent over the next couple of weeks. At school, I dealt with being Hudson’s guide around the school, and everyone else in my grade seemingly hating me for it. I wasn’t used to the strange level of attention I was getting from everyone after years of being completely invisible, and I really didn’t like it. I felt like I was on display, being watched at all times for all the wrong reasons.

Sloane, on the other hand, was totally soaking up the attention she got from being Jude’s guide. She was used to being popular—this was just the next step up. And from what I could tell, she wasn’t getting glared at quite as much as I was, so the whole experience probably wasn’t as negative for her as it was for me. She was also in a better position because she and Jude were actually getting along, while Hudson and I hadn’t found good footing yet.
