Page 49 of Sacrificing Zoriah

“Kiss me,” she says simply.

Fuck, I hate this stupid bitch… I know I have to keep her happy, so I just do it. I press my lips against hers, and she instantly relaxes. It lasts just a second before I pull back. She smiles sweetly at me, and I know I am in the clear. I’m going to need a bleach bath before I touch Zoriah.

“So?” she asks.

“What?”

“Are we going? Do you still want to surprise him?” she asks.

“Yeah,” I say coolly. “I think it’s time we brought the sacrifice back to The People of Christ.”

“I can’t wait to help rebreak her,” Haley says happily. “Daddy is going to have them take her three at a time for a week.”

“That would definitely break her,” I force a chuckle.

“Daddy also told me that I get to whip her with the metal cable,” she says. “I’ve wanted to tie that dumb bitch up and whip her bloody for years. She is so fucking annoying, ya know? Always has her nose stuck in a sinful book.”

“I can’t wait to see you in action,” I say with feigned pride.

“It’s going to be great,” she says. “Everyone should be going to sleep now. We should go so we can get back before anyone wakes.”

“Do you have everything you need?” I ask.

“Do I need to bring an extra needle?” she asks with a grin.

“No,” I smile. “I think I’m figuring it out.”

“Yay!” she says, clapping happily.

We get cleaned up and dressed before we slowly make our way through the bunker. Haley was right that everyone is going to sleep. It’s like a ghost town. When we get to the main hatch, she pulls out her keys. “I know the code to get in and out quietly, so we will be good,” she says softly. “Daddy has been letting me go out during the day to spy on her at work.”

“Then this should be easy,” I say. “Know where she is?”

“Yeah. She’s living with her boss. I think her brother and dad are there, but she’s dating her boss, I guess,” she says with a shrug.

Fuck, that hurts. It won’t stop me from going to her. I said if I got out, I would, so I am. I want her, even if she only wants me as a friend. I just need to see that she is okay and that she is being treated well. She’s talked about her boss in the past, and he seems like a good guy, and if Corbin allows it, I know he is a good man.

“Sounds about right. Think we will run into any trouble with them?” I ask.

“Nah. Daddy said Roman has a meeting in Los Angeles. Her name wasn’t on the flight record for the private jet, so she’s locked away at the house. She’s dumb enough to fall for our shit, so we can easily get to her for long enough to take her,” she says confidently.

“Oh yeah,” I say. “All we have to do is get close enough, and I’ll grab her.”

“You sure you’re good carrying her fat ass all the way home?” Haley asks as she types in the code to the alarm.

“I’ve got her,” I say. I sound calm, but I am seething. If I hear this dumbass bitch call my girl a degrading name again, I’m going to cut her fucking tongue out.

When the alarm is off, we climb a set of stairs to the main door. Haley slips the key into the lock and slowly turns until it clicks. I am trying to stay calm. I am so fucking close to freedom. I don’t want to ruin it now. She takes her time opening the door, and we both climb out. I gently shut the hatchback and I hear the lock engage.

I need to put some distance between us and the hatch so no one will hear her scream. Haley happily skips along without a clue as to what I’m about to do to her. It’s comical to hang back and watch how carefree she is, knowing that she is walking herself to her own death. I wonder how much she will beg? I have seen the evil she has kept hidden. I know what kind of monster she really is.

We walk for nearly thirty minutes before I start getting closer to her. I have no desire to chase her down, so I need to make sure she is close to me when I attack. She is completely fucking oblivious to me as I inch closer and closer with every step. Soon, I am right behind her.

“I have a question,” I say, letting my tone drop. No more faking it. It’s time to get even. My voice frightens her, and she jumps before turning to look at me.

“What?” she snaps, clearly irritated that I scared her.

“How loud do you think you’ll have to scream for someone to help you?” I ask, stepping closer. She backs up, and her eyes go wide. The moment she turns to run, I grab the back of her hair and slam her face against a tree before throwing her to the ground and kicking her in the abdomen. She makes a wonderful whimpering sound as she tries to curl herself up. She knows she’s done for.
