His sister’s bright-purple gaze shot at him as she flung her long hair over one shoulder and smiled.

He didn’t wait long before she broke away from her dancing friends and crossed to him.“Yes, Aodh?”she asked breathlessly.

“Since this stunt was your idea.”He gave her a sharp look.Letting her know he was aware she’d acted without consulting him.“Ensure that Morlie gets safely to her suite.”

“At your word, Mckenna.”

“Try not to forget that again.”

Eilidh smiled, evidently not feeling the brunt of his chastisement.

Aodh shook his head, pitying the Drahk, who would become Eilidh’s mate one day.He continued making his way out the entrance that led to his suites.

“But, Morlie is my responsibility.”

“No one will harm your sister, Kai.You have my word.”He didn’t pause in his course to get Kai to a place where she was all his.Like his dragon, Aodh didn’t want to share what was his.

Kai was his.

She let him guide her up the stairs and to their suite. He didn’t release her until they were inside with the heavy door sealed.

He left her in the center of the sitting area as he walked over to the fireplace. After taking the breath he needed to fill his lungs and the core around his dragon with oxygen, he exhaled and released a flame into the empty grate. He didn’t need to start a fire, except he enjoyed seeing the firelight flicker along Kai’s brown skin—a lovely, intoxicating sight.

She hadn’t moved from the place he left her.Moving closer, he didn’t stop until her body was touching his.

“Aodh...”she licked her lips.

He growled as he watched the slow glide of her pink tongue.

“Repeat it.”

“Aodh.”

“I can get drunk on the sound of my name on your lips.”

She sank her teeth into her plump bottom lip and tipped her head down. She was close enough that he felt the shivers run through her body.

He guided the tips of his fingers down her arms.

“I thought you gave me tonight to be with my sister.”

His touch moved back up her arms until he was cupping the sides of her neck.Applying just enough pressure, he urged her head back to meet his gaze.“She will be fine. With all her vigorous dancing, Morlie will sleep soundly tonight. You don’t need to sit at her bedside and worry while she rests.”

She nodded, conceding.“I didn’t expect her to regain so much energy so soon.”

Aodh pressed a thumb to the deep crease between her brows. He could tell her why her sister was rebounding so fast, but he didn’t want to get into it tonight.“She will continue to grow stronger. You will see.”

Kai exhaled.“So, I’m here.”

“Yes,” he stated, even though her words didn’t come out as a question.

“Your brother’s words—”

“We will discuss that in a moment.”He traced along her delicate jawline.

“Then what do you want to do now?”she whispered.

“Dance for me,” he commanded. The desire to see her body moving in a sensuous manner hadn’t gone away.
