“I’m sure one of the other guys would be happy to show me how things work around here.” I bite on the inside of my lip, waiting for his response.

I see the flash in his eyes when he speaks. He knows I’m testing him. “I said I’m showing you what you need to do. I’m the boss, not those fuckers out there.” He nods to the empty table when he speaks. “You should have plenty of room to work there. You can use my chair for now. I will be up and about the office throughout the day. I’ve already ordered a new chair for you. Give me a bit, and I will grab you a laptop.”

Damn, he's hot when he's being all professional.

I don’t even have a chance to respond because he’s already making his way out the door.

Well, I guess I will just sit here and do nothing.

I’m scrolling on social media when the door to his office opens. Although, it's not Jaydon I see when I raise my head. However, this man sure as hell gives Jaydon a run for his money in the looks department. No wonder he didn’t want to introduce me to anyone.

Are they all this fucking good-looking?

“Oh, hi, please excuse me. I thought Jay was in here.”

“Sorry, it’s just me.” I drop my phone on the table and stand, nervously brushing my hands down the backside of my skirt. This man is fine as hell, revealing a grin that’s almost as panty-drenching as Jaydon’s. Heat sears my cheeks at that thought.

His eyes drag the length of my body. “I'm not sorry one bit about seeing you,” he chuckles. I stand as he approaches me, holding his hand out for me to take. “Nice to meet you. I’m Blake.”

I can't help but smile at his outwardly flirting; he's definitely winning in the looks department, that’s for sure, but there is only one man who’s making my panties wet on a daily basis.

“Nice to meet you as well. I’m sorry we weren’t introduced earlier. Jaydon is—” The force of the door opening further has it slamming against the office wall.

“What the fuck is going on here?” Jaydon roars into the room.

The audacity of this man has me rolling my eyes.

But much to my surprise, Blake continues holding my hand. Even though I try pulling away, his grip tightens. Jaydon's intense stare burns into us as he stands in the doorway. While looking at Jaydon, he pulls my hand close to his lips like he's about to kiss the back of my hand. And I’m just standing here in a daze, my heart pounding outof my chest, watching the glare on Jay's face. He’s going to kill him.

Just before his lips meet my skin, his hold suddenly loosens. Instead of the kiss I was anticipating, he drops my hand and throws his head back in laughter. The tension on Jaydon's face eases slightly, but his eyes stay narrow with threat as he watches Blake having the time of his life, his laughter bouncing off the walls like he just pulled the greatest prank in his life.

His cocky swagger is evident when he steps towards Jaydon with his chest puffed out. “I fucking knew it!” he declares, totally ignoring the fact that Jaydon was seconds away from ripping his head off.

Jaydon's jaw clenches, still obviously affected by what just went down.

“Thanks for confirming all of our suspicions, man,” he adds with a chuckle, slapping Jaydon on the back of his shoulder as he walks past him to exit the room.

“I sign your paycheck, asshole!” Jaydon yells after him, but he’s already out of eyesight.

What the hell was that?

He shuts the door—a little too hard— with the push of his foot, then spins to face me once again. That’s when I finally notice the two cups of coffee he’s carrying.

“Sorry, I was gone so long. Figured you might want one of these,” he says, lifting one of the cups from the carrying tray and holding it out to me. It's pink withthe familiar Sprinkles logo printed on the sleeve, and it instantly brings a smile to my face.

I think I’m still in shock from the whole situation before, because I can't seem to find anything to say. My thoughts run wild as I take the cup from his hand.

Are we really not gonna talk about what just happened?

“Trey, one of my best guys, is configuring a new laptop for you.” He nods his head backwards towards the door. “Getting all the software set up that you will need.”

I nod. “Okay, well, thanks for the coffee. You didn’t have to do that.”

“No big deal. I kinda wanted to taste someone on my lips while I work today.” He grins, his true cocky self, shining through.

My cheeks flush.

His words would make any hot-blooded woman's panties a mess. Dammit, I hate how he can so easily do this shit to me.
