I smiled because whenever I spoke to my nana, she would ask how Don was doing. My father was his biggest fan, not because of the car, but because he saw how he was with me. My parents saw me smiling and being happy with someone that wasn’t Antwan. It had been a while since I smiled like I had been.

Rubbing his face, I yawned and rested my head on his chest. “Okay.”

His arms held me tighter as he rested his chin on the top of my head. With the way his phone and iPad had been pinging, I thought he would grab them. Instead, his hand found mine, and he looped his fingers through mine as I closed my eyes.

I nearly leapedout of Landon’s arms, remembering I was on a plane. The jerk in our bodies was enough for me to scream. He rubbed my arms and opened the window shade, showing me that we had touched down and I said a quick prayer. Meanwhile, Greene was still fast asleep. Beans pinched her toe, and she kicked her foot, hating for anyone to wake her up when she was asleep.

When she used to sleep over my house, she would be the last one awake. Last time, when I woke her up, she waited for me to fall asleep and poured cold water on me. My mother had to break us up because I was ready to beat the green off her ass for wetting my bed. I tried to get off his lap, and he held me in place.

“How did you sleep?”

“Really good. I haven’t been sleeping much, so it was needed.”

He dropped a kiss on my forehead.

“Did you sleep?”

“I had some work to do so I can give you all my attention this week.” I put my arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

“What are we doing this….” my words trailed off as I watched three blacked out SUV’s and then another car with lights on the top cross the tarmac heading toward us. “Are we alright?”

He looked out the window and laughed. “We’re good, Bleu.”

Tapping my ass so I could get up, I returned back to my seat as Greene came from under her blanket. Beans stood up, nodding at Landon, and they opened the door to the jet. Landon stood and followed his security off the jet, and Beans followed him.

Jett held that case they had brought with them, and they spoke to other men. They took the case, and then the agents came over and took the passports from Landon. His body language was relaxed, so I assumed everything was good.

One of the men that took the case dapped hands with him and then headed to the third SUV. Jett took the keys to the SUV we would be riding in, and Landon came back on the jet. “Pooh, you ready?”

His phone sounded and he grabbed it while I nodded my head. He took the call back off the jet, and Greene looked at me. “Poooohhhh,” her immature ass teased.

“Shut up.”

“I’ll be quiet because I got me a free trip and it’s not even my birthday.” She unbuckled, fixed her wild hair, and then grabbed her purse.

I did the same, as we exited the jet. Landon held his hand out as I came down the steps and pulled me behind him as we walked to the SUV. I could see a gun poking out from behind him, and I took a deep breath.

Greene squeezed my shoulder. “Relax.”

I took a deep breath, knowing that my cousin wasn’t tripping so I shouldn’t have been either. If she felt uncomfortable, she would have given me the look and let me know something. Landon pulled me in front of him and helped me get into the truck before getting in behind me. The driver closed the door, and I watched as Beans and Greene got into the truck behind us.

We exited the private airport and the moment we started driving through the island, I pulled my phone out and snapped pictures. I couldn’t believe how beautiful this island was. My hand was halfway out the window as I watched us drive up different hills and through mountains.

This was the start of my parents’ marriage. The place they came and celebrated being one with each other. The picturesthey showed me from years ago did it no justice. This was a place that you had to come and see for yourself. You had to experience this, and take everything in.

“Have you ever been?” I broke our silence and looked over at Landon.

“Nah. Didn’t realize we owned a villa on the island until I hit my brother’s assistant up,” he explained, and I nearly choked.

“Your family owns a villa on the island, and you’ve never been. I would be here every weekend if my family owned a villa here.”

He took my hand into his and kissed the back. “Speak your shit into existence.”

I blushed and looked away, as we continued the drive to the villa. My body wanted to burst with joy because this was exciting to me. Being able to come here was a dream, but getting to experience it with Landon felt special.

Like a moment in time that was reserved for us, that we both would share. Even if things never worked out with us, we could look on this experience and know that it was special for the both of us.

When we pulled into the gates, and a rounded driveway, my jaw dropped at how the villa appeared to be tucked away in the mountains. Nestled away from everything but having the backdrop of everything. Even with the beautiful view, the villa was the main character.
