“I don’t give a shit what you think. You might have caught his attention for the moment, but you are only temporary. There has only been one woman he has ever committed to and you’re looking at her.”

As his woman or his pretending to be woman, I felt it was my duty to put this bitch in her place. I could not seem to tamp down on the feeling of disgust I had for her.

“Are you sure about that? It seems to me that you’re still living in the past. That’s your first mistake. Your second is that you think that you still have a hold on him and you don’t. And your last mistake was to think for one hot second that you have a shot in hell of getting him back.”

Her upper lip curled in disgust. “I’m not going to stand here a minute longer and take these insults from you.” She turned her attention to Marco. “This isn’t over.”

“Sienna.” His voice was stern. “I want you to stop writing me letters. There is nothing you can say that will change my mind. If you continue to reach out to me after this conversation, I will tell your husband about them.” She wiped her eyes and moved toward the door. “One more thing. If you ever disrespect Amelia like that again, we are going to have problems.”

As soon as she stormed out of the room, I placed my hand on his arm. “Are you okay?”

Marco looked down at me and did the last thing I expected him to do. He threw his head back and laughed.
