“I heard that.” Noah surprises me at my side.

He wraps an arm over my shoulder and looks down at me with a grin, and Eloise looks pleasantly happy to see it.

“You’re lucky I don’t care.” He shrugs his shoulder. “I’m man enough to be proud of my feelings. After all, one of us has to have the heart in this relationship… Ice Queen.”

“Hey.” I jab him in the side, trying to ignore the flutters that kicked up at the use of the wordrelationship.

Noah just laughs and doesn’t let me wiggle loose as he turns his attention to Eloise. “Rome is already on his way. Don’t ask.”

She rolls her shoulders back, shaking her head, but doesn’t say anything.

I’m used to spending time with the band on tour, where things are wild twenty-four-seven. I always assumed that they chilled out during their off time. Apparently, that’s not the case with Rome.

“All right, well we can get started with some of the vocal tracks while we wait for him.” Eloise sounds annoyed.

“You and Sebastian worked that out?”

Eloise lifts an eyebrow. “Let’s just say he’s lucky he’s my brother.”

Noah shakes his head and laughs. “All right, I’ll meet you down there.”

She heads down the staircase to the recording studio while Noah hangs back. He pulls a hair tie off his wrist and ties his blond hair off his face, watching me.

“What?” he asks, noticing my expression.

“Nothing,” I say, trying to hide a smirk.

There’s something about the way he looks right now that has me all twisted up inside. His pale blue eyes are bright with excitement, and it permeates out of him. Then there’s the T-shirt that is hugging his chest like he wants me to remember the solid slab of muscles hiding beneath it. Add his jeans, hugging his ass and cock like there’s nothing that can contain him, and I’m nearly light-headed.

If I thought Noah was attractive before, the cap to the bottle has been taken off. Because after last night, it’s like I’m seeing what I refused to for the past seven months and I can’t stop thinking about it.

The thought of him going down there to sweat over his drums makes my brain travel all sorts of places.

“Liar,” he calls me out, reaching for my hands and pulling me against his hard chest.

I lift onto my toes, so my mouth is next to his ear. “I was just thinking about what you said about my fishnets,” I whisper, grabbing his wrist and sliding his hand up my leg, under the hem of my black leather skirt in the front.

“You should know…” I bring his hand right between my thighs. “I’m not wearing any underwear.”

I move his hand and it brushes over my pussy, covered only in the wide holes of my fishnets, which do nothing to hide how wet I am for him.

“Fuck,” Noah grunts, cupping me with his hand and squeezing. His other one runs up to my throat and I almost think he’s going to slam me against the wall and fuck me right here, but the front door closing in the distance stops him.

“Damn,” he says, pulling his hand away and tipping his head back. “You’re going to kill me, Mercedes.”

He lets out a frustrated sigh, but when he looks back at me, he’s smiling.

“Kill you, no.” I shake my head. “What would be the fun in that? I’ll just torture you a little for the hours of boredom I’m about to endure up here all alone.”

He looks at me, and I give him a wicked grin.

“Evil.” He leans down and plants a kiss on me that says the opposite.

“Fucking finally,” Rome’s voice comes up behind us and we break apart. “Maybe now you’ll stop bitching about her.”

I look over my shoulder and he’s standing there with a shit-eating grin on his face as he walks past, slapping Noah on the shoulder as he does.

“Now stop fucking for five seconds and let’s record this shit so I can get back to getting wasted.”
