Page 115 of Shattering Nash

Nash was making it his top priority to find her brother. What he would actually do to him was still up in the air.

“Can I ask you another question?”

Nash need to shift the subject.

“Me first.” He slid his finger over her cheek, brushing the stray hair away. It had been a something he’d pondered for the last few hours. Asking Oz was fruitless, he wouldn’t share but maybe Charley would.

“What did Oz whisper in your ear in regards to Noelle?”

“That’s between me and Oz.” Charley broke out in a smile. “You two have your secrets and now we have ours.”

Touche.

“Was that one of things he told you to say if I asked?”

Charley shrugged, clearly biting back her chuckle. He’d let it go. For now.

“You’re up. What do you want to know?”

She scrunched her nose. So fucking cute. And all fucking mine.

“It feels a little late to ask considering everything we’ve been through and done, up until this point.”

Nash was intrigued. “Ask.”

She bit her bottom lip. “Is Nash your first name or last name?”

Oh kitten, you’re in for a real fucking treat.

“Middle. It was my mother’s maiden name. I’ve always gone by it since I was little. My last name is Sorrento.”

“Oh.’ She smiled. “And what’s your first?”

Nash smirked. “Charles.”

Charley blinked.

Yes, kitten.Charlie and Charley.

Chapter Twenty-Three

It had been a few days since she’d left the sanctuary of Nash’s house.

It was time and she knew exactly where her first stop would be.

Charley drew in a deep breath and grabbed the doorknob, opening it up. There were three women walking out, and she held it open for them. She stepped into the shop and was met with a welcoming smile.I didn’t realize how much I needed it until now.

“Hi Elle.”

Elodie rushed over with her eyes welled. She wrapped her arms around Charley, taking her in for a hug. If there was ever any doubt Elodie wouldn’t forgive her, those thoughts were dashed within seconds.

After a long embrace, Elodie ushered her into the back office and closed the door behind her. With the new renovations, she’d gotten a private office, though it wasn’t very big. Elodie turned, eyeing Charley from head to toe, then scanning her face.

She drew in a breath and sighed heavily. “Oz told me you were okay, but I just want to see for myself. You’re okay, right?”

“I’m fine.”

Elodie gave a subtle nod but eyed her once again. Her concern was obvious. “He said you were but…”
