Page 6 of Miles

His sister seemed to like Mr. Asshole just fine, though. The only reason he hadn’t gotten between them was that his sister already had a boyfriend. They’d been together for years, and even if they hadn’t, he knew Emma had no desire to date a biker. He didn’t either. They’d grown up seeing how hard it could be for the non-biker through their dads. He had no doubt they loved each other or that they would always fight to make things work between them, but life was hard. He knew that firsthand. Emma didn’t remember much of it, but he did. He remembered too much.

“Oh, come on.”

Miles squeezed his eyes shut and tried to count to ten. Heonly made it to two before Kaz put a hand on his shoulder and made him whirl around to push him away.

“Don’t touch me,” he snapped at Kaz.

The smirk on Kaz’s face made him ball his hands into fists. There was a rage simmering under his skin, and Kaz always brought it right to the surface, but he was determined not to let it take over. Not this time. He wouldn’t give Kaz the satisfaction.

“Why? You afraid you might like it, Miley?”

He glared at Kaz but couldn’t get a single word out when Kaz sidled closer, a sinful smile on his lips as he slid a hand up his chest. Kaz’s hand was warm through his shirt, leaving tingles in its wake.

Fuck.

Blood rushed south without his permission. He didn’t want to be attracted to Kaz and he sure as fuck didn’t want to be turned on by him.

He slapped Kaz’s hand away and pushed past him, slamming his shoulder into Kaz’s, and ground his teeth at the low chuckle that followed him. He headed for the spiral staircase by the bar, passing a few of the Disciples on the way. He offered them a fake smile and kept moving.

“Was that an invitation?” Kaz yelled after him.

Miles cursed under his breath and took the steps two at a time. He could hear Kaz behind him and considered turning around to push him down the stairs. His dads wouldn’t like that. Kaz’s dads wouldn’t either. Damn. There went that plan.

He reached the second floor and took off toward one ofthe many bedrooms. Maybe he could hide in one of them until they had to leave? Though nothing would stop Kaz from hanging out in front of the door and annoying the shit out of him.

He came to a sharp halt and grunted when Kaz slammed into his back.

He turned around and when Kaz gave him his signature smirk, he couldn’t fucking take it anymore. To hell with that promise to keep his hands to himself.

He grabbed Kaz by the front of his shirt?strategically avoiding his leather cut because he didn’t want to deal with the consequences that touching it might have?and pulled him toward the wall so he could slam him against it. He was maybe an inch shorter than Kaz, and while he’d bulked up over the past year, Kaz was still wider. That didn’t stop him from using his body to keep Kaz pressed against the wall, the man’s rich citrus scent overwhelming his senses the second he was close enough to breathe it in.

Kaz was still smiling wryly, those startling gray eyes gleaming wickedly at him.

“What the fuck is your problem?”

“You,” Kaz said, fingers slipping into the belt loops of Miles’s jeans to hold on while he rolled his hips against him. “You’remy problem.”

A gasp escaped him when he felt something big and hard pressing against him.

He stared at Kaz, lips still parted after that gasp. Kaz was looking at him with the kind of confidence he could only wishto possess. Kaz wasn’t afraid to come onto a guy who’d broken his nose before. It made him hate him so much more. It also made him want to crush his mouth against Kaz’s.

He dropped his gaze to Kaz’s lips. So fucking enticing.

Heat rushed through him, setting his every nerve ending on fire. He met Kaz’s gaze and the heated look in those eyes had his dick pressing against the zipper of his jeans. Kaz of all people was looking athimlike that? There was no greater confidence boost than that.

Still, if they did this, there’d be consequences. They could fuck up so much. Kaz was almost nineteen, though. He was an adult. He could deal with those consequences on his own.

He wrapped his fingers around Kaz’s throat and leaned closer, a breathless sound escaping him when Kaz licked his lips and tilted his head back.

One kiss. One kiss wouldn’t fuck everything up, would it? Maybe if he got a taste, he’d realizewhohe was kissing and go back to hating Kaz. Go back to wanting to slam his fist into Kaz’s face instead of wanting to see every inch of his skin. Touch every inch. He wanted Kaz writhing underneath him. He wanted Kaz to beg. To scream his name.

The need flooding him was heady and irresistible. As was Kaz.

He pressed his thumb against the fluttering pulse in Kaz’s throat and took great delight in knowing Kaz was as affected as he was, even if it also terrified him.

He leaned in, nose brushing Kaz’s as their breaths mingled.

Kaz’s sharp intake of breath had something entirely too possessive exploding inside him, and he couldn’t hold himself back any longer. He tightened his hold on Kaz’s throat and brought his mouth down on Kaz’s.
