“Yeah.”
Well, he figured Miles would say yes. Once he asked him.
“But…”
The frown line on Nash’s forehead had Kaz tensing up.
“Oh, yeah, we worked our out shit yesterday. Spent half the night playing video games.”
“You did?” Nash’s smile was a mix of relief and confusion.
Kaz nodded, smiling wide.
“Sure. I mean it’s really up to him what with him being an adult and all,” Nash said, almost as if he was reminding himself.
“They grow up so fast, eh?”
Nash nodded with a sigh. “At least we have another year before Emma leaves us.”
“I doubt she’s going far,” he said with a wry smile at Nash.
“Here’s to hoping,” Nash said.
He watched Nash walk toward the couches for a moment and then he turned and made his way back upstairs, a wide smile spreading on his face.
CHAPTER SEVEN
Miles
A CREAKING door woke him up, and when he’d rubbed his eyes and sat up, he realized he was still in the room he’d shared with Kaz for the night. Shit. He snapped his head up when he heard soft footsteps and nearly swallowed his tongue when he found Kaz walking toward the bed in a pair of black shorts and a T-shirt. He had that mischievous smile on his lips and something entirely too enticing swirling in those gray eyes of his.
He may or may not have been drooling when Kaz crawled onto the bed and swung a leg across Miles’s thighs to slide into his lap.
“Morning,” Kaz said in a singsong voice.
Miles frowned at him.
“What did you do?”
Kaz’s smile turned almost wicked.
“I just ensured that we get to continue this fuck-fest.”
He blinked at Kaz.
“Youwhat?”
The blanket had fallen down to his hips so when Kaz put his hands on his chest, he sucked in a breath at the heat and, fuck, those god damned tingles were back. Why did Kaz, of all people, get him turned on in seconds?
His hands found Kaz’s thighs, fingers digging into the firm muscle there.
“You’re staying the next week,” Kaz said, lowering his head to put his lips to the underside of Miles’s jaw.
“What?” he asked on a shaky breath, eyes rolling into the back of his head when Kaz’s lips found that spot behind his ear.
“I told your dad you agreed to stay here with me since you’d be all alone otherwise.”
He almost got lost in Kaz’s touch and kisses until he realized what Kaz had said. He put a hand on Kaz’s chest to push him back so he could see his face.
