Page 30 of Finally Home

I thought they always said the best part of waking up was a good cup of coffee, but I’m pretty sure it’s seeing Holland Armstrong wearing only a shirt—only my shirt, to be exact.Even though the shirt is now buttoned, it still leaves her thighs revealed, and the thin white material allows her nipples to poke through. It’s as if they’re saying good morning to me.

My dick responds with agood morning to you, too, beautiful, clearly liking what he sees.

Hollie crawls back up the bed and settles against my chest.

“Can we just stay in bed so we never have to leave?” She places a kiss on my chest.

She definitely won’t have me complaining about that. I hum in response and press a kiss to the top of her head. Silence takes over, wrapping us in a warm blanket, freezing time, and delaying the inevitable that we know will happen when we leave this room.

The countdown to goodbye has already started. Who knows, maybe it’s been ticking all along. Here, at this moment, we can still pretend to be Hollie and Ollie, a loving couple who just spent the weekend away together. When we leave here, we will just become two strangers who shared a memorable time together. But to me, she’s so much more. In this short time, she stirred something inside of me. Something I never thought I was capable of, nor thought I wanted.

“Thank you,” she says, eventually breaking the silence.

“Maybe it’s because my brain hasn’t fully woken up, but are you thanking me for the orgasms?”

“Perv,” she laughs, pinching my side.

“Okay, then why don’t you elaborate then for me?”

“Just everything. All you did this weekend for me. Thank you, Oliver. I don’t know how I could ever repay you.”

“Hmm, I can think of one way.” I tip her chin up and close the distance between us. Coconut no longer fills my senses, but I catch a hint of mint. That little minx also brushed her teeth while in the bathroom.

“Hmm, minty,” I tease against her lips. “Decided to grow up after all, huh? Seems you not only steal my shirts but my toothpaste, too.”

“Shut up,” she laughs. “Just kiss me, you idiot.”

I roll her over and settle between her thighs. “If I must,” I say before sealing my lips to hers.

Two orgasms later for Hollie, I look up from between her thighs and find one of my favorite versions of her—blissed-out from orgasms. Okay, so maybe I can’t pick just one version that’s my favorite. Her hands stretched out above her, fingers still digging into the fabric of the headboard, and her flushed chest rises in quick pants as she tries to calm her breathing.

I drag my tongue over my lips, tasting her release as I crawl back up her body.

“Now, that’s what I call the breakfast of champions.” I link my fingers in her hair and pull her lips to mine. Her hands roam up my back, digging her nails into my skin like she had just done to the headboard moments ago.

“Are you sure you have everything?” I ask Hollie as I wheel our suitcases into the hallway and she shuts the hotel door behind us.

“Yes, I double-checked everything. Do you need to give one quick look?”

I shake my head. “No, I trust you.” She smiles as she loops her arm through mine.

As we wait for the elevator, I watch her. Hollie looks so relaxed that I hate that I’m even about to bring this up.

“So do you want to just roll out, or should we maybe try to find your family to say goodbye?”

“Ugh,” she groans as the elevator doors open and we step in. “Can’t I just be an asshole and leave without saying nothing? They got me here. Wasn’t that enough? Plus, I don’t want to see Brett again after that bullshit.”

I cage her in against the wall. “You can do whatever your fucking heart desires. You want to show that you’re the bigger person and say goodbye? I’ll be right there by your side and politely thank them for having us. You want to find them just to wave a big middle finger in their direction? I’ll hold you up. But it’s your decision. I just want you to know that I’ll be right there with you.”

“God, you are too good to be true.” Hollie smiles at me, emotion blanketing her gaze.

“Only for you.” I lean in and press a quick kiss to her lips just as the elevator dings with our arrival. “How about this? I already ate breakfast, but let’s get you something to eat, and then you can decide on what you want to do.”

Hollie blushes and shakes her head, but her smile never leaves her beautiful face. Damn, she really is stunning. “Okay, that sounds like a good plan.”

I lead her over to the hostess stand for the hotel restaurant. “Good morning,” the cheery redhead says.

“Morning,” I say. “Table for two, please.”
