“I’m sorry, Hollie. Are you okay?”
“She’s fine, you idiot. Although I think it’s safe to say that any sense of the relaxation she felt moments ago is definitely gone.” I glare up at him, but his smirk on his face when he looks down with an arched brow tells me he’s asking me where the lie is.
“You go back to the kitchen, and I’ll get everything cleaned up.”
With a long exhale, Rhyland grabs the pan and heads back to the kitchen.
“Hey,” Ollie whispers. When I refuse to lift my gaze, he dips his head to meet my eyes. “Are you okay?” He repeats Rhy’s question.
I nod. “I can’t believe that just happened.”
He smiles. “Yeah, it was definitely the fucking hottest moment of my life.”
“Ollie,” I scold and try to push off him with my hands on his chest, but he’s stronger and keeps me against him.
“Tell me that wasn’t sexy being spread out on the bar.” I know I don’t need to answer him because I can feel my skin heat in agreement. I’ve never done anything like that, nor did I think I ever would.
He leans in to kiss me, but I arch away from him. “No, no more kisses or anything else until we’re home.”
Chapter 24
Ollie
My phone vibrates on the counter as I wait for the coffee to finish brewing. A text appears in the group chat with Archer, Rhy, and Logan.
Archer:Anyone know anything about the few pieces of broken glass I found by the bar this morning?
Of course that motherfucker is there that early. It doesn’t take long for replies to appear.
Logan:No. There weren’t any issues when I clocked out. Ollie, anything up after I left?
Rhy:Yeah, Ollie, anything you need to add to the conversation?
That fucking dickhead. I can picture the smirk on his face as he waits to see how I reply.
Archer:Why do I feel like I’m fucking missing something…
Me:It’s fucking nothing. Hollie was helping me close up and accidentally dropped a glass when Rhyland scared her when HE WAS THE ONE THAT CAME OUT OF NOWHERE.
I smirk as I press Send. It’s not a total lie. I don’t regret a single thing about last night. Okay, maybe one thing. I regret Rhy came back and nearly saw parts of Hollie that are just for me. Not just her body, but the noises she makes and the way she looks postorgasm. Clearly, I wasn’t thinking. We could have just waited till we got home, but that’s the thing with Hollie. I’m obsessed, simple as that.
Me:And sorry, bro. I thought I had swept it all up.
A text message appears from Rhyland that wasn’t a part of the chat.
Rhy:You’re so full of shit.
Me:You’re just jealous.
Rhy:*eye roll emoji* I’m sanitizing the shit out of the bar top when I get there.
Me:I already did that. But I’d expect nothing less.
“Is the coffee ready?” Hollie shouts from the living room.
“Just a sec,” I reply, setting my phone on the counter. I grab two mugs and the creamer from the fridge just as the machine beeps that it’s done brewing. After adding the white chocolate mocha creamer to both, I grab the mugs and head to the living room.
“Special delivery,” I announce when I enter the room and find Hollie lounging on the couch, her laptop in her lap.
