“Baby, this is absolutely magnificent. It looks like a mini mansion.” Erie continued her starstruck rant.

Some parts were designed with brick and others with wood. It was well lit since it was evening. The lights on my property were on a timer, so they automatically turned on and off with the sunrise and sunset. My favorite exterior feature was the wrap-around porch.

The entire porch was made of wood. Furniture riddled the entire porch just in case we wanted to sit in any area of the porch. There were huge picture windows on each level of the house, and those windows were my favorite.

I gave Erie my attention. “I’m glad you like it. I was skeptical at first because cabins aren’t everyone’s thing, you know?”

There was silence. I turned, and Erie still stared at the cabin.

“It is pretty magnificent. I designed this cabin for the family I wanted someday. It means so much more now that I have the family I’ve always wanted.” I kissed her neck.

Erie gazed at me. “Bravo. Job well done, my love. It makes my heart smile that you’re able to live out your dreams with me. I love that for the both of us. It brings me great joy to see you genuinely happy and smiling. I love you past the chaos, the trauma, and the money. It’s you, Janeiro, that makes every breath more vital than the one before.”

I pulled Erie in my arms and stared into her almond-shaped eyes.

“I’ve done a lot of shit in this world, but somewhere down the line, I did something good to be blessed with you. My Bella, my sweet girl, and most valuable asset in this world for now, I vow to give you the softest and most beautiful life in my control. There won’t ever be a day where you have to question my love or loyalty. Do you feel me?”

Erie sniffled and nodded. “More than you'll ever know.”

“Good girl. Let’s go in, baby. I’ll give you a tour then get you settled in.”

“Sounds good, handsome.”

We climbed the three stairs together. I unlocked the door and stepped in.

“You don’t have to worry about a thing because I had a cleaning service clean thoroughly. Also, the fridge and pantry is fully stocked. All you have to do now is relax and let me cater to you.”

Erie chuckled and held on tightly to my hand. “You spoil me so much.”

“I always will.”

I gave Erie the tour of our eight-bedroom and four-bath cabin. It was her cabin just as much as mine now. After our tour, I helped her onto the oversized sofa chair that reclined. I removed her black thigh-high boots. Erie surfed through the TV apps while I massaged her feet. When she was comfortable, I pecked her lips then jogged to the truck to bring our things in. It took several trips to bring in our luggage.

Once I was done, I strolled in the living room. Erie had taken off her faux fur vest and was snoring softly on the couch. Gently, I spread a thick throw blanket on her and busied myself with the house.

I was able to put all our things up and make the place cozier for Erie. Now, as I drank my bottled beer, I watched the flames engulf the charcoal bricks. Our steak and salmon were seasonedand marinated. I made sure to wrap my salmon and vegetables in aluminum foil before I placed them on the grill. The vegetable mix I wanted to grill was also prepped and ready to go. Quiet steps filled my ears. My baby was up. Erie wrapped her small arms around my waist and laid her head on my back.

“Hey, handsome. How long was I asleep?”

“About two hours, beautiful.” I tossed back the remainder of my beer.

She wobbled her sexy ass in front of me.

“I’ve been sleep for two hours? Why didn’t you wake me?”

“I told you already. This week is for you to rest and relax, not cater to me or anyone else. I want to spend our babymoon catering to you and our babies.” I eyed her.

Just like I knew she would, Erie crossed her arms and poked her lip out. I kissed her thick, juicy lips, causing her to snuggle closer in my embrace. The feel of her warm body against mine made me brick hard. I could kiss her all day. I didn’t even know I was the kissing type until I met her. If we didn’t stop, I’d surely fuck up my charcoal. Casually, I separated us. I walked Erie over to the lounge chair and draped a blanket around her.

“Thank you, handsome.”

“You’re welcome, Bella.” I handed her a bottle of water, then stirred the charcoal once more.

“Baby, is there anything I can help with?” she quizzed softly.

“No, Bella. I’ve taken care of everything, but there is one thing this grilling session could use, and that’s some good mood music.”

Erie smiled broadly. “Say less.”
