“Xander…don’t stop…don’t st— Oh fuck…” She clings to my shoulders as her body quivers.
Heart thundering, I lower my head and kiss her lips. She’s short of breath, moaning and gasping and babbling incoherently.
“The way your pussy is clenching around me, I won’t last long…” I kiss her jaw and bury my face in the hollow of her neck.
“Me either…” Her words die on her tongue, quickly replaced by a loud, prolonged moan.
The sound spurs me on. I plunge into her over and over, keeping my rhythm steady, in and out. I alternate between licking and sucking and biting the sensitive skin at her neck. She is so fucking wet. Stars dance behind my closed eyelids. Tingles race up my spine.
“Xander, stop…stop…please…”
I slam into her again before her words register, and she squirts, soaking us both.
I straighten and grin down at her, still buried in her tight heat.Damn. I totally forgot this position does that to her.
Beneath me, her brows are knitted together, and she’s worrying her lip. That wasn’t the first time, but usually we’re in our bed.
“Don’t.” I press my finger to her lips, knowing exactly what’s on her mind. “Everything’s fine. I’ll clean the couch.” I steal a kiss. “You were amazing.”
I lower my forehead to hers and relish the comfort of being this close. Bella has changed a lot in the last few months. She’s more confident now, sure of herself and her beliefs. It’s like she’s shedding her old skin, sloughing off layer after layer of insecurities. Yet she’s so easily thrown off track; I need to do more to make her feel better.
“I’ll clean it up, okay?” I say again. Please, babe. Show me your gorgeous smile.
As if reading my mind, she gives me a small smile. “Okay.” She wraps her arms around my torso.
Warmth unfurls in my chest, filling my heart with happiness. I’m crazy about this girl.
And my sister thinks it’s unhealthy.
I scowl as my thoughts stray to Audrey.
Bella notices my uneasiness straight away and releases me. “What’s wrong?”
I stand and help her up. “I’ll clean up first, and then we can talk.”
Everything isas it was before—except our couch. It’s drenched after all the cleaning foam and water Bella applied. She refused to hear any objections or accept my help. All she let me do was heat up dinner, her new recipe for pad Thai.
“Damn, babe,” I say between bites. “You outdid yourself.”
Across from me, she bites her bottom lip, hiding her smile. “You’re such a liar. Did you forget I was with you at your parents’ when you said the same thing to your mom? She’san incredible cook.”
“Using the same line doesn’t make me a bad person. Or a liar.” I point my fork at her. “Your food is excellent.”
“Thank you.” She takes a sip of her drink, her eyes sparkling with joy.
In a matter of minutes, I’ve devoured every bite. Pushing my empty plate away from me, I lean back in my chair. “I’m full.”
“I would be too if I ate that much pad Thai.” She giggles, still working on her own meal.
The sound of her laughter instantly makes me grin. “How was your day?”
She tells me about some of the work she did for Ben before turning on the movie this afternoon.
I frown. “Why were you working? It’s Saturday.”
“I had time, so why not? I figured if I got some work done I’d have more time to spend with you on Monday.”
“I’m all for us spending Monday together, but I hate when you have to work weekends.”
