I hand her my phone. “You tell me.”
She looks at it, and her smile brightens the room more than the lighting. “It’s perfect. The video quality is going to be out of this world. You’re amazing.” She looks around the room and then the crew. “You all are.”
I hate that she added that. I don’t want to share her praises with any of them.
“Good morning, Luciana.”
Her gaze is back to me. “Good morning, Oliver.”
“Let me show you around.” We go through the new additions, careful not to get to informal, even when I take a test photo of her so she can keep on checking the quality. I’m not doing anything that could cause the crew to think they can get too comfortable with her. It’s something you always want to be careful about because it’s easy for lines to blur in men’s crews sometimes. I don’t want them ever to slip and disrespect her.
“I think we are ready to move on to the downstairs renovations. I want to show you the specs I worked out with Mimi and the team. I don’t necessarily want to use my own kitchen commercially but building a kitchen here might be a little much. Plus, I wouldn’t do kitchen videos often, and it’s added to the budget. It wouldn’t require many adjustments to your proposal. We’ll need this kind of lighting if possible.”
“I understand. We can make the lighting and reflectors tailored to the room so nothing looks out of place,” I say. I like that she’s all professional at the moment. It’s also a little confusing because I don’t know what she’s really thinking. “Lead the way.”
She thanks the crew again, and I swear their tongues are half out. Her phone rings, and she gives me the one-minute signal before she walks downstairs.
I hand out cleaning specifications and instructions on what to do next and follow her. Ayla texts me that she wants Chinese for dinner and a new pair of rose-gold high tops.
I’m still shaking my head when I hit the second floor and get yanked by the arm. Lux pulls me into her office. I don’t even get a chance to react before she throws her hands around my neck and pushes up on her feet.
I bend, obliging, and her lips crash against mine.
Her mouth is sweet, but her tongue is bold and inviting. As my hands circle around her, all my questions are answered. We are back to where we left off yesterday—pressed against each other and kissing like the world hinges on our lips and tongues.
And just as quick, she pulls away.
“I know you were trying to be professional, but we needed this break. I needed to confirm yesterday was real.” She’s a little out of breath, and she tries to move away, but I grab her again and move us out of the way so we won’t be seen.
I press her against the wall, plastering my body against her softer one. I kiss her again, this time with our bodies engaged, until she moans and writhes against me, and I thrust my hips against hers. Because I can’t help it. Because she wants it. Because we both need it.
“It’s more than real,” I whisper.
“The question is, where do we go from here?”
“I think we both know. We need to decide how deep.”
She presses even tighter against me.
“God, all the way in,” she says, and then her jaw drops.
And in that moment, I see it. Me, deep inside her. Her body arching in front of me. Her lips lifting for my every thrust. The surge of desire that flashes through my body is violent, and I force a laugh. “I meant?—”
“Oh, God.” She lets her head fall against my chest, but the skin on her neck is red.
I tilt her face up. “No shame. I think we’re both in tune with what we want.”
She nods. She wants my dick, and she will get it, every fucking inch, so she can ride it to her heart’s content.
I want to push her on top of that small, feminine desk, and make us both happy, but we need to clarify before we get dirty and decide if fucking is the first thing we’ll do.
“Let’s talk.”
She laughs. “Aren’t you tired of talking? You talked to Chase last night.”
“He told you?”
She shakes her head and steps away to the other side of the desk. She lowers herself to the chair, so dainty and graceful. “He wouldn’t tell me that, but I know him too well. He and Cam can’t help themselves. I wondered if he would spook you away.”
