Fuck me.

That would be an epic line to have in a song. Yup, the muse was in full force right now. I was so lost for this girl and didn’t even see how it happened.

Chapter 9

~ Tiffany ~

Ichugged part of my water as I took a breath. Four days ago, I was in the limo with Heath while he had one of my favorite parts of his body buried deep in me. And you can bet your ass it was one of the hottest fucking images in my life.Hell, just the thought alone had me soaking my panties. And I spent plenty of time throughout the last few nights thinking about it and getting off with my vibrator. It helped ease the pain but surely didn’t replace it.

Sadly, I haven’t been able to see him since. However, we did talk every day, which was nice. And yes, in that conversation, late at night, there was sexting. Okay, maybe not JUST late at night. There was a time he had me stumbling while on a run because of the images he had while asleep. He told me, in nouncertain terms, just where he wanted to fuck me and how hard. I was forced to take care of business right after that.

And now, now I was listening to this overbearing asshole, Jameson, demand so much and not be happy with any results he was given. We were just a few weeks from the start of the tour and what did the fucker do?

Add a new fucking song! Or well, part of it. It wasn’t fully done. According to him, it was the last number he wanted to end the set, if not the show, with. What’s even worse? It’s a slow song.

He had a couple sprinkled throughout his whole show, but most were merged into some fast-paced song. Because in his mind, head banging, or rocking out, was what he wanted. In fact, it was almost impossible for anyone to record at his shows for how rowdy the crowd was.

So, yeah, it confused all of us that we were working on this. Not that it was a bad song. It wasn’t. In fact, I found the melody gorgeous and had the perfect outfits in mind for it.

“This isn’t working,” Charlene mumbled, wiping her soaked neck as she took a swig of her own water. “I can sort of see his image, but he’s not expressing it clearly enough.”

“I know! And then we’re the ones getting in trouble. And to spring it on us when we’re so close to the start of the tour? What the fuck is that?”

“Yeah, speaking of,” she started, doing a brief glance around, “any plans when he’s texting Tiff about how much he misses her, and you can’t respond because you’re sitting right next to him?”

My eyes opened wide, and I glanced around, shushing her.

“This is neither the time, nor the place, for that question, and you know it. How dare you!”

“Fine,” she muttered, pointing her water bottle at me, “we’ll shelve it and come back to it later. In the meantime, any ideas for a wardrobe?”

The thing with our team, because it was a rockstar we were working with, we did our own choreography with the ideas he gave us. Well, more like Charlene did and I figured out the wardrobe. Which worked out nicely. The outfits were bought, and it wasn’t like we had tons of outfit changes, as we were dancing around while Jameson was having his own wardrobe change.

“Actually, if he keeps the numbers the same on the set list, we have that black long dress before it?” I watched as she nodded. “I can rig it up to where a red dress is underneath it and we just pull a string to change the outfit. If he keeps it to the end, it’s perfect and we can run off stage. If he moves it up, there should be an encore after that, and we have a quick change. Either way, it should work.”

“And you have an idea for this dress?”

“There’s a shop uptown that I love. Florence, you know it. Anyways, it had this Spanish-style dress that would fit with the vibe of the song.Because listening to the rough take on it, it’s very…I don’t know, Spanish feeling. Which would be awesome because it goes back to his roots.”

“Huh.”

She tilted her head as she looked at me and I couldn’t help but lift a brow. Something very off by that single word she expressed.

“What?”

“You’re falling for him.”

“I am not.”I batted her away like she was crazy and took another sip of water. I sure as hell was not going to agree with that. Okay, so maybe the crush was extending a little more, but that didn’t mean I was falling for him.

Heath, aka Jameson, was a major star. He had more fame and money than I knew what to do with. He was a great and charming man, but the stage version of this man was a completeand utter dick and I refused to fall for that. However, they were one and the same and I knew I couldn’t have one without the other.

“You are.He’s charming you.”

“Stop, he’s not.”

“Right,” she muttered, drawing out the word. I rolled my eyes at her, and she grinned. “Look, Heath must be a great guy, but I am warning you, be careful.Jameson will find out the truth. He’s already been hurt.”

I wanted to say something, but what was there to say? I was lying, even by omission. Sure, Jameson could look at me on this stage and see right through me.Because with the makeup, my face was far too different. I looked more like I was heading down a red carpet than I was heading to BeeAnn’s with my friends.
