Was I ready for all that?
Maybe Ishouldtalk to Marcel. He was, after all, a therapist specializing in all things kink, trauma, and relationships. He knew the Kings better than anyone. Not to mention he could offer insight and answer all the confusing questions I had. Ivan said he could be trusted, but with how much? That was the question.
Sharing the two years I was in captivity wasn’t something I could do. I knew that much about myself. Owen had always cautioned me that sharing could be potentially dangerous. Perhaps it was why he wanted me to talk to a specific therapist, one he trusted. Add that to my list of should haves.
I spent another hour establishing a dialogue of sorts that I could use with Dr. Marcel, giving myself the illusion of control. My eyes eventually became heavy, and I snuggled into Nik’s warm body. I kissed his chest and pushed my very sore nipples against him. The dull, throbbing pain reminded me how much I enjoyed his attention.
A girl could get used to sleeping with them. Alek always held me possessively, tightly, like he was afraid I would disappear. Ivan held metenderly, like I was fragile. And now Nik was holding me protectively. Even in sleep, he made me feel safe.
Chapter 21
Aleksandr
Because It Pleases Me
The morning light spilled through the windows as the three of us waited for Kinsley to join us for breakfast. I should have been relieved that Nik hadn’t pushed for more. But as he shared in detail what happened between them last night, I had to fight the urge not to punch him.
“She specifically used the word edging?” I asked.
“Calm down, she said she’d never been edged before,” Nik said, grinning at Ivan, who was smiling from ear to ear.
Fucker. Ivan was getting a kick out of this. He loved edging women. It was one of his specialties.
“Maybe she’s a curious girl looking to explore her limits. I’d be happy to help her out,” he drawled.
I threw a spoon at him. “She’s nowhere near ready for your level of play, shithead.”
“And what level of play would that be? Are we talking about boss levels? Dancer of the Boreal Valley, Pontiff Sulyvahn, or the Nameless King, which is so à propos?” She winked, her eyes sparkling as she slipped into the dining room with a mischievous grin on her face, her footsteps as light as a whisper. Little eavesdropper. Maybe I should change her nickname.
But damn, she was breathtaking.
“What do you know about any of those bosses?” Nik grinned, drawing a blush to her cheeks.
“To defeat the dancer, one must not be deceived by his deadly dual swords. You’ll need to study him closely to determine whether he’s actually attacking or simply moving around. A 100 percent block shield is helpful, but you really shouldn’t rely too often on blocking, because the dancer loves to stagger players.”She twirled toward him and stood on her tiptoes. He bent down so she could kiss him on the lips.
Ivan’s eyebrows shot up.
“Now, Pontiff Sulyvahn is unforgiving and not optional. Can’t progress in the game if you don’t beat him. He likes sweeping fire-sword attacks and mirror strikes, all very unpleasant. He’s actually one of the hardest DARK SOUL 3 bosses to beat. And speaking of swords.”
She sauntered over to Ivan and stood before him, barely reaching his chest; she looked so small. Her fingers sensually went around his waist, where she played with the strap on his blade before trailing up his arm and across his chest. She yanked on his T-shirt so he had to lean down. Once he did, she kissed him on the lips before continuing.
“Pay attention, because he’ll dole out rapid leaping strikes, sweeping attacks, and cast spells which are hard to dodge back-to-back. You’ll want to watch your stamina, old man. Time those dodges and retaliatory attacks.”
She paused and smirked over her shoulder when she saidold man. She pushed Ivan’s hands off her waist to get him to let her go. My dick hardened as she strutted my way. Her eyes flickered down my body, resting on my cock. Her cheeks flushed as she stopped before me. The fingers on her right hand traced my tattoo.
“Then, of course, there’s the Nameless King. Some say he’s hardest to beat. He’s a two-phase boss. His health meter is…large.” She saidlargelike a caress and added, “So expect to die several times before coming…”
She paused, looked into my eyes, and licked her lips.Oh, kitten, you’re crossing into dangerous territory. I wanted to rip her clothes off, throw her on the table, and make her come until her voice was nonexistent from screaming.
“…out victorious,” she finished.
“She seems to have a clear grasp on who she’s dealing with.” Ivan laughed, shrugging his shoulders while I leaned down to ravage her lips. If she was in the kissing mood, I’d accommodate her. After a few minutes, she pushed against me.
“Yes, I do indeed, Blade. But I wonder at the fairness of having three Kings for a mere mortal girl to have to play against.”
“You seem to be holding your own thus far, but the day is young.” I smacked her ass lightly.
Her head rested against my chest, and she seemed content to stay in my arms. “Alek, do you think Marcus could run me to Fred Meyer’s?”
