That’s not a bad idea, you know, you on my payroll. Curious, do you pole dance?
KINSLEY:
Ha, you’re funny. But, FYI, probably better than your top earner.
I tossed my phone onto the bed and stretched, but my phone rang out with an incoming call half a second later.
“Where the hell do you pole dance at?” Alek barked. I heard his brothers chuckling in the background.
“Good morning, Reap. Sarah made me do a class with her in preparation for her twenty-first birthday last year. My only saving grace was that I never had to actually perform with her.”
“And why is that, malyshka? Did you chicken out at the last minute?” Nikolai teased.Wonderful, he has me on speaker.
“Crow, I thought you were the smart one? Sarah’s birthday is well before mine. I wasn’t old enough to get into the club. Good morning, Blade.”
“Good morning, little love. Did you sleep well?”
“Tossed and turned a bit, but all in all decent. Tell me, is my friend going to be able to walk today?”
After they stopped laughing, Ivan said, “I don’t fuck on the first date. I’m old-fashioned like that.”
“Wonderful. Now she’s going to join a nunnery, and you’ve left me to help her pick up the pieces. It’s probably for the best. You’ll break her hea—”
“A nunnery?” Ivan exclaimed.
“Never mind, forget I said anything. But, seriously, she’s going to be miserable all day. Did you at least offer her a toy?”
Alek laughed. “You’re so bad.”
“No, but I love that you’re so concerned. Just so you know, I never leave a woman unsatisfied unless she deserves it,” Ivan boasted.
“I see. Good to know. What does one have to do to be undeserv—You know what? I’m not finishing that statement. Have a good day, boys. Gotta go, there’s a knock at my door,” I lied. Getting up, I went to get ready, noticing Alek had sent me one final message.
REAPER:
Have fun today. Send me a picture.

Spa Day
“Wait, six hours? We’re being pampered for six hours?” I asked, confused.
“Yes, Ms. Taylor, that’s what Alek said. I don’t know the exact details. I’ve never been myself,” Charles said as he opened the door for us.
“Come on, it’ll be so much fun,” Sarah gushed.
“Have you ever been before?” I asked Jenna.
What the hell are we going to be doing for six hours?
As the car hummed along the busy streets toward the spa, I felt out of place and longed for my normal routine.
“The guys have sent us to spas before, but never something this extravagant. I’m looking forward to it, truth be told. Last night was exhausting. You know how it is,” she said with a knowing glance in my direction.
I rolled my eyes at her casual remark. It was laced with a hint of satisfaction, and it prickled my senses like a thorn from a rose biting into my fingers. The truth was, I had no idea, but I could guess. Her implication hung heavy in the air. Clearly, I had no clue the thrill of a night spent tangled in the arms of a man like Aleksandr. Not yet, at least.
