Jonathan’s voice filled Gemini’s head. Frost looked at him as if he had heard it. Gemini had no idea what was on the dresser, but he trusted his king.

He climbed from the bed, not bothering to button his jeans or hide his erection.

“Keep looking at him and I’ll scoop out your eyes. You know I have the medical training to do it.”

Damn. He didn’t know how Craig had looked at him, but Gemini basked in the jealousy in Frost’s warning. He had a fierce mate. Gemini couldn’t be prouder. On the dresser, he found a stack of items. Their marriage certificate and all new cards and licenses for Frost with Gemini’s last name.

Gemini grabbed the marriage certificate. “See? Married. Get the hell out of my bed before I rip off your fucking dick for thinking you can have what’s mine.”

“That was hot.”

Gemini wanted to smile at Frost’s comment, but he didn’t want to break eye contact with Craig. He needed the guy to know he was serious. “I don’t believe it. Show me the proof.”

Gemini hated that Craig still challenged him, but he passed the paper along. Why does no one realize I’m dangerous?

You’re a fierce beast.

Gemini couldn’t help but smile. He loved this man.

Frost sat up like he’d been shot from a cannon. His gaze stayed locked on Gemini. “Get the fuck out, Craig.”

Gemini held his stare. He hadn’t guarded his thoughts. Gemini wouldn’t take it back. This was his other half. His entire world.

“You got married yesterday. To this guy? What the fuck, Frost? You knew I’d come for you. I always do.”

Frost spun so fast, Gemini worried Frost might actually murder Craig. “Get the fuck out of our bed. Put on your goddamn clothes and march your ass from our life right now or you’ll hobble away.”

Craig must have seen something in Frost that he hadn’t seen in Gemini. He tossed their marriage certificate aside and stood. He angrily pulled on his shirt. “When this guy cheats, and he will. You know you don’t like sex enough to keep anyone. Call me and apologize. Maybe we can give it another go.”

This motherfucker. He was obviously dumb as fuck.

He’s desperate. I’m no longer paying his rent.

Gemini’s gaze shot to Frost. “Oh, baby. I’m sorry your kindness has been so thoroughly abused. I’m so sorry I didn’t find you sooner.”

Craig snorted as he pulled on his shoes. “God. You always fall for the sugary bullshit. Where did you find this pansy?”

A growl rose in Gemini’s throat. He couldn’t stop it. It sounded like his other side coming out to play. Gemini stalked Craig. His gaze never wavered from his prey. There was no move Craig could make that would be fast enough to escape him.

“How fucking dare you break into our home, insult my man, and still think you can walk away unscathed?”

Craig obviously saw it now. He sensed the danger. He eased toward the door.

Gemini’s gaze followed him, tracking every move. He dashed for the door. Gemini snatched him from his feet. In a flash, hehad Craig over his shoulder. He didn’t play. Gemini tossed him out the front door. He didn’t even look to see where he landed. Gemini slammed the door closed so hard, he almost tore it off the hinges. He locked the deadbolt and slid the chain into place. Gemini moved slowly, fighting the urge to go outside and finish the job. His claws and fangs kept making an appearance. Gemini forced them back.

Come back to bed. I need you.

Like that, Craig was forgotten. Gemini prowled back toward the bedroom. His animal side wasn’t assuaged. This was different, though. He needed to feel his mate from the inside. Gemini rounded the corner and found Frost nude and waiting. He tore off his pants and pounced on the bed, landing lightly on Frost. Gemini had perfect aim when it came to jumping his prey. His gaze moved down Frost’s body.

“Mine.”

Frost grabbed his face, forcing Gemini to hold his stare. “Even if I misheard you earlier, it doesn’t change anything. I love you. I’m sorry if my reaction to learning we’re married hurt you. There’s nothing that means more to me than being yours. I was just caught off guard, but not in a bad way. You mean everything to me.”

Gemini understood how much that cost Frost. He had been raised human, believing love was something that came with time. He had also obviously been starved of affection. Frost didn’t want to mistake lust, attention, and happiness as more.Gemini felt that, but his world wasn’t human. He was behind the veil now where he saw the way love and mates worked. This was every bit as real as if they had known each other for years. They were stronger and more committed than anything he had ever known.

“You didn’t mishear. I love you.”

Frost looked turned on as his gaze moved over Gemini’s face. “I see it in your head. It’s beautiful.”
