“No.” He agreed with a nod, but the stubborn tilt of his jaw never eased. “But it must be attempted.” His suit rustled as he stood and buttoned the jacket. “I’m going to find her.”
She wasn’t lost. I almost allowed the words to fall from my mouth but held them back. We had searched for her for weeks. Ilya’s determination was unmatched. I had doubted we would ever see Annie again, regardless of how long he searched. Seeing her again had lifted my spirits and given me a newfound joy for life. I would be a fool to let that go.
I followed, walking behind and to the right of Viktor, as he marched from the room and straight into the elevator. The sixth floor was a vast space filled with tech, conference rooms, and the single room Ilya used for his interrogations… the ones that didn’t require the soundproof room deep underground. We passed a series of rooms with glass windows giving us glimpses of equipment used in our security system. A few employees looked up when we passed and immediately returned to work. Viktor’s stride lengthened the closer we drew to the goal, to Annie.
Viktor shouldered open the door at the end of the hallway. Annie rose from her stooped position, a folding table bent around her legs. She scooped hair back from her face and tucked it behind her ear. “Did you change your mind?”
Ilya continued removing his shirt. He folded it carefully and placed it across the back of the nearest chair.
Viktor stalked across the room, not slowing until he stood in front of Annie. He pushed the table out of the way and cupped her face between his palms. “Your job as our masseuse is guaranteed.” His thumbs ran across her cheekbones, and her eyes sank half-closed. “But that will not be enough for me. For us.”
Annie’s long exhale eclipsed mine, covering the greedy sound of my desire as Viktor included me and Ilya in his plans.
“What do you mean?” Annie’s hands hung loose by her sides. Her chest rose in a rapid breath that she quickly released. A tiny shudder twitched her shoulders, and her hands lifted, almost reaching for Viktor before she fisted them and pushed them back to her sides while stiffening her body.
Viktor closed the distance so they stood toe to toe, their bodies barely a breath apart. “We have been looking for you. We have not stopped thinking of you since our night together. It cannot be a coincidence that Ilya found you.”
Ilya dragged a heavy hand through his hair and down the back of his neck. He twitched at his name and took a step closer to Annie, framing her in from behind.
I longed to rush over and finish the circle. Not yet. Not until she’d agreed. I tamped down my own need and concentrated on Annie.
“It was meant to be,” Viktor continued. “Clearly, the universe wants us to be together. I am not one to fight against destiny. It has been good to me so far. It has brought you to us. Twice.” His head lowered to meet her eyes.
Her breathing changed, going quick and sharp. “And if I don’t believe in destiny or fate, or anything like that?”
“Then I will believe enough for both of us.” He had always been smooth with his words, and this was no different. He meant everything he said. Viktor was not the kind of man to lie, not even to get what he wanted. Why would he bother when the world bowed before him? “I want more than one night, Annie.”
I examined every inch of her from my spot in front of the door. Her fisted hands shook. The look on her face turned uncertain. She uncurled her fingers and rested them lightly on Viktor’s forearms. Her pale skin contrasted with the black material, her slim figure dwarfed by Ilya’s presence at her back. One move backward and she’d knock into him. She stood locked in place, searching Viktor’s face. “What exactly do you want from me?” The question came out in a breathless rush, and her body swayed toward Viktor.
Ilya gave me a look and crooked a finger, encouraging me to join them. I had long been the bystander to Viktor’s operation, a voice of reason and a good friend. Those lines blurred when we shared a woman, and I worried I’d not be able to return to my normal stance if we spent more time with Annie. She brought us together in ways we’d grown familiar with but also challenged me to want more. I moved close enough to take the table fromthe floor and set it up off to the side. No matter what happened next, Annie would need the table to finish Ilya’s massage.
Having her here calmed him. After weeks of frustration, I’d brought up my concerns to Viktor.
“I want to take you on dates.” Viktor’s words drove us closer together.
In all the women across all the years, not one had ever affected any of us this way. Even the women I fucked alone were nothing more than a necessary release. A woman had never turned us inside out like this. I craved the feel of her hands on me, the brush of her breath over my cheek. I longed to wake up in the morning and see her face on the pillow beside me, to go to bed each night knowing she was right there, a touch away. There was nothing I would not do for Viktor, and now, that same feeling of possessive greed circled Annie like a vulture preparing to feast.
She belonged with us.
“Dates?” Annie asked in the silence after Viktor’s statement.
“Yes.” He threaded his fingers through her hair. “Dates. And I want to make you come again. I want to see your face light up with passion as it did that night. I’m not taking no for an answer, Annie. I will do whatever it takes to get you to say yes.”
Determination swelled in my chest. I knew and respected that tone. Nothing would change Viktor’s mind, and I honored the need coursing through me by finally stepping close enough to feel the heat from Annie’s body sweep over me.
Her fingernails dug into Viktor’s suit jacket where she gripped him. “I don’t want to say no.”
“You don’t?” I dared to raise a hand and sweep it across her shoulder, feeling the silky texture of her hair on the downward motion. My cock throbbed, and I adjusted my slacks to compensate for the thick length.
A heavy silence wrapped around us in a bubble of uncertainty. One word from Annie and this all stopped. Until Viktor convinced her to change her mind.
She wanted us. I saw it in the way she licked her lips and swallowed several times. Her gaze swept across all of us, and a hunger built in her eyes. I’d seen it that night when we fucked her. We were desirable to her. Part of her held back, probably because she recognized the threat we posed. Even if she did not fully understand what or who we were, her instincts screamed that we were dangerous.
Her instincts were correct.
“We need you to say it.” Viktor stayed in front of Annie, not backing down but not imposing his will on her.
“Yes.” She leaned into Viktor. “The answer is yes.”
