‘But it’s not fair. You should enjoy it, too.’
He trailed his fingers up her thighs, all the way to the base of her breasts. Squeezing them in both hands, he flashed her a smile as she swallowed the sensation.
‘Trust me. I’m enjoying it immensely.’
And she had no more objections or anything else to say. This time, she thought she knew what to expect, but every time his tongue touched her, she exploded from the inside a little bit more. When she recognised another orgasm building up, she reached down to find Hunter’s hand. Weaving her fingers with his between her breasts, she clutched it like it was the only thing keeping her from falling.
Then, with another scream, she fell over the edge of another cliff of ecstasy.
She might’ve temporarily zoned out afterwards; she wasn’t sure. When she recovered, she looked at Hunter. She wanted to say something, but words failed her. To thank him didn’t seem suitable, yet it was the first thing that her brain came up with. He had taken her into a world she had only been told about before.
You can thank him in other ways, her mind supplied.
‘Come here,’ she said. ‘Finale time.’
‘Your wish is my command.’
Hunter bent down, reaching into his jeans pocket and took out a colourful, square foil package.
Caroline bit her lower lip. Her skin was in almost physical pain when he wasn’t next to her. She leaned back on her feet and raised her hands to her own breasts, her eyes never leavinghis face. They were swollen to her touch, the nipples tender from where he had drawn them into his mouth.
She moaned at the memory prickling her skin. Then, she shuddered as she remembered the sensation he had awakened when his face was buried between her legs.
He unrolled the condom over his shaft, then captured her lips in a long kiss, his hand in the middle of her back until he had lowered her down onto the bed. She spread her legs wide, bursting with need, and pressed her hips up to meet him.
When he entered her, a gasp escaped her lips. They lay there for a moment, mouths searching each other, savouring the heat of each other’s body. She shuddered as he pulled slowly back, then sank deeper insider her caressing her with each thrust.
At first, Caroline felt like she didn’t know what she was doing. But any worries she had disappeared as quickly as they entered her mind. They danced in a rhythm as old as time.
It all was too much; she didn’t know anymore which feeling to concentrate on. Ecstasy started building in her from the very core of her being. She groaned in pleasure, barely conscious of making any sound at all. Her throat became hoarse, her chest heavy with a tightness she didn’t recognise.
All she wanted to do, in this moment, was fade into Hunter. Into his heart, into his head, into his bed. Their bodies felt like they melted together, there was no trace any longer that one was once two. She felt like she would break out of her skin, the feeling of passion driving her to new heights.
They rode it together until finally the dam broke and she climaxed, for the third and most intense time that night.
CHAPTER THIRTY
Hunter
The morning sun cut through the drawn curtains. Birds chirped outside, and there was a distinct soft October chill in the air. The serene silence of blissful seclusion of the cabin gave a delusional impression that time had stopped. That, beyond the wooden walls, the rest of the world didn’t matter.
Hunter looked down at Caroline’s face, pensively running his fingers through her hair. She was lying sideways with her head resting on his abdomen. They had been awake for a while, both too tired to get out of bed. Neither of them got much sleep last night. He gulped at the flashback of the mind-blowing sex. Mere reminiscing about it was getting him hard. But what pleased him the most was that she had a great experience. One she should’ve had the first time and every time since then. The sheen of satisfaction in her eyes was possibly the most arousing thing he had seen.
If he could stop time, even for a little while, he would press ‘pause’ right now.
‘You never told me what’s your favourite whisky,’ Caroline said, her fingers drawing lazy circles across his chest.
He barked a surprised laugh. ‘Really? That’s what you want to talk about?’
‘Yes.’ She lifted her head, propped herself on her elbow and flashed him a brilliant smile. ‘Go on, spill. Unless you’re embarrassed.’
‘What?’ He shook his head. ‘Of course I’m not. It’s an easy question. Royal Lochnagar.’
She looked at him enquiringly.
Hunter bit his lip and said, ‘It’s from a small distillery up in Aberdeenshire, near Balmoral Castle.’
‘Oh, I know it. I’m from around there. Just surprised you do.’
