Mine.

Easton surprisedme with a honeymoon trip to Europe to cross off a few of my library dreams. I tried to argue, because he wouldn’t tell me how much the trip cost so I could pay my share, but he literally threw me over his shoulder and carried me to the car, and then again to the check-in counter at the airport. Since we flew first class, I assumed it cost a small fortune, but when I started writing things down to calculate an estimate, he stole my pen and gave me a hand job under the blanket on the plane to keep me distracted. He spent the rest of the honeymoon distracting me in similar, very pleasurable ways, until I forgot what I was trying to do in the first place.

When we got back, I started my internship with Sierra. It paid better than my part-time job, and I actually felt like I was good at it. Useful. I got a lot of praise for my work, which I didn’t realize I craved until I came home with sore cheeks from smiling all day. Easton wasn’t too happy about me working so much, but he relented when I reminded him once school started, we’d be back to our normal schedule. Classes, lunch together, The Hideout after school, and home wrapped around each other at the end of the night. If I wasn’t careful, he’d convince me to get my doctorate just to keep up our routine.

Easton’s plan worked better than he expected. Not only did he chase my family out of town, but he made them pariahs with my extended family, who had no idea my parents treated me so poorly. I got a lot of questions after the wedding, and once the truth came out, a lot more apologetic calls and emails and even a letter from my great aunt condemning the way my parents treated me. Easton’s plan inadvertently got Brienna into some legal trouble too, since after she was arrested, she was overheard admitting to some criminal behavior while in holding. Apparently, she didn’t realize hiring guys to assault her brother was illegal. I was visited by the same officer who found the guy who attacked me and had to give him my statement on everything Brienna had ever done to me. I wasn’t pressing charges, because I just wanted her gone, but the state was since she admitted it outright in front of an officer. It looked like she was going to end up in jail, but my parents ended up selling their house to hire a lawyer and got her sentence knocked down to a heavy fine and community service. Last I heard, they left town broke and shamefaced. I hoped they never came back.

There was still a lot I had to work on. I realized there was some residual trauma from my childhood that made it hard for me to really trust that Easton or my friends wouldn’t turn on me. I tried seeing a therapist, but the one at school made some comments about me being too young to be married and to consider revisiting that relationship later, so I dropped her like a hot potato. Instead, Easton introduced me to his philosophy professor who Easton said was ‘wise as fuck’ and would help me. He seemed happy to meet with me and talk, and I liked him a lot better than the school counselor.

In the end, he was the same Easton I knew and loved before we got married. He tolerated his family’s affections, spent most of his time hanging out with me and his other friends, andmaintained his caveman possessiveness, even after I had a ring on my finger proving I was his.

Which is actually how I ended up here. On my first night watching Easton fight, one of his competitors hit on me while Easton was in the ring. I told him I was married, but he got kind of pushy, and when Easton found out, he dragged him into the ring for a face off. I wasn’t supposed to say the caveman thing was hot, but…it really, really was.

“Go, Easton! Kick his ass!” I screamed.

Angel cackled beside me, giving me a high five. My potty mouth was still underdeveloped compared to the rest of them, but it was getting better. Maybe. Or they were placating me, because they thought it was cute when I tried. Jerks.

Easton ducked and twisted, landing a heavy hit to the guy’s solar plexus. It knocked the wind out of him, and he stumbled back, barely keeping his feet underneath him. Easton stalked him like a wild animal, circling him while the guy caught his breath. Jayden was working on Easton switching to legal MMA fighting, and I knew he was considering it because he didn't like the idea of being separated from me if he got caught and arrested, but sometimes the best thing for him was to let him do his thing. Like kicking a guy’s ass for daring to look at me twice.

Twisting to avoid the guy’s lunge, Easton slammed his elbow to the guy’s back, knocking him to the ground. When he flipped over to get back up, Easton sat on his chest and started wailing on him, never giving him enough time to recover before hitting him again. I winced. He was going to end up breaking his hand if he wasn’t careful.

This place wasn’t as crazy as the last one, and they wouldn’t let them kill each other, so when it was obvious the guy was down for the count, a few giant bouncers pulled Easton off and held him back until he calmed down enough to leave the unconscious man alone. He leapt over the ropes, prowlingtoward me instead, and hauled me into his arms the second he reached me.

This would never get old. I tangled my tongue with his, moaning when he groped my ass. I was addicted to this man, and I could never, ever get enough.

“Alright, alright, unless you’re planning on putting on a show, I suggest taking that shit home,” Angel carped. He and Coach were attached at the hip lately, though they refused to admit why. He said he came tonight because I was there and he wanted to watch out for me, but I got the feeling he was actually there for Coach.

Easton hummed, whispering against my lips. “Home sounds like a good idea. Think we’ll make it that far?”

I pursed my lips thoughtfully. “Depends. Do you want toys involved? Because we didn’t bring any with us.”

He smirked. “Right now, I just want this.” He squeezed my ass again suggestively. “But I’ll take us home first, so we have more options for round two.”

Heck yes. I mean, hell yes.

Whatever. I’m going home with my husband to have hot monkey sex.

Jealous?
