“Like hell I’d put you guys on the same floor as us.” Morgan sneered.“You’d never leave our place.”
Megaera’s face fell. “You know, I’ve been thinking this for a while now.” Her brow furrowed as she looked from Morgan to Victor and back. “You two sure have grown more impudent since we last saw you.”
“That’s because some of our sisters are giant pains in our asses,” Morgan said sullenly.
Victor crossed his arms and nodded sagely. “Exactly. At least they haven’t tried to manhandle Cassius yet.”
Cassius stiffened a little and avoided looking at Tisiphone. Tisiphone grinned and leaned toward him.
“So, you still haven’t told Ivmir what Menippe did to you?” she asked in a stage whisper.
The atmosphere around the table turned glacial.
Cassius groaned. “I thought we’d decided never to mention that.”
“What did Menippe do to you?” Morgan enunciated carefully between gritted teeth.
Atropos pinched the bridge of her nose. She looked ready to ding her siblings around the ear.
Cassius flashed a nervous smile at Morgan “It was nothing, really.”
“It was something if you’re hiding it from me, Cassius,” he growled, his knuckles whitening on his beer.
Victor touched Morgan’s shoulder. “How about you calm—?”
“She jumped on him naked and stuck her tongue down his throat,” Tisiphone blurted out gleefully.
Gasps of shock and horrified delight echoed around the table. Atropos slumped in her seat like she wanted the ground to swallow her whole. Cassius dropped his head in his hands.
“Go, Menippe,” Alecto mumbled, her tone full of admiration.
The bottle in Morgan’s hand cracked. He jumped to his feet.
“Theo, open a portal to the Astrea Sea rightnow!”
