“I-if it’s not too much trouble... could you heal me like before? Now that I’m not overcome with need, all your claw marks are really starting to sting.”
The orange of guilt blasted into his sight and Aleron gnashed his fangs. Without wasting another second, he focused on trying to take his bride’s wounds from him – something heshouldhave done sooner.
Like before, it was slow. This was only the second time in his life using magic consciously, and the first time had only been within the last hour.
The transference caused him to flinch.
Pain lashed over his right shoulder, the left side of his backside, and across the backs of his thighs. Blood welled – his own – and he instantly knew he’d sliced deep. The pinching at the base of his spine was different, but not as prevalent.
“I am sorry,” Aleron grated, nuzzling his snout against him apologetically. “I did not mean to hurt you.”
“It’s fine. They actually felt really good in the moment.” His lips puckered with thought. “Then again, I don’t think I really registered them through everything else.”
Aleron didn’t know how to respond to that, so he didn’t. Aleron just let himself be content that he could have such a power over Gideon to steal some of his senses.
Patting his hand around, Gideon searched behind himself until he found what he sought. Bringing Aleron’s palm to his thigh, Gideon fisted his fingers and played with the ring he’d placed on him.
Aleron had not forgotten about it.
A strange sensation had clutched him, and he had a feeling it was entirely nonphysical. Ever since Gideon had slid it onto his finger, he’d felt like he was trapped and possessed. Aleron didn’t think it was possible, considering he held Gidon’s soul, but he felt further bonded with this human.
Perhaps not as much as his cock currently buried to the base, but in a way that was far more subtle, yet more lasting.
Once he finished playing with it, Gideon just held his hand.
“I’m... I’m really tired, and you’re so comfortable right now,” he stated softly.
Aleron already figured, since he hadn’t opened his eyes once during their entire conversation. The compliment was nice.
“You also did not sleep much last night.”
Gideon had only drifted off for a short while before they were attacked by a flying Demon. Perhaps it hadn’t been wise to fly above the Veil with the dark of night giving them freedom.
He hadn’t cared in the search for his kindred.
“I haven’t been sleeping well since we came back.”
“I know,” Aleron uttered with a hint of sadness.
“I kept having nightmares. I often remembered when I died, or I’d dream of Emerie burning. And then... my other dreams terrified me.”
“Other dreams?” he asked, despite being worried about the answer.
“Yeah. My memories were so confusing, and they weren’t always clear. But then...” All of a sudden, his features grew exhausted. “I don’t know anymore if they are old feelings or new ones, but I’ve been falling for you inthislife. The more I did, the more I wanted to see the memories, but I also grew scared of learning everything because of how I hurt you.” Gideon squeezed his hand. “I feel better now, though. I’m glad you like your ring.”
“Sleep, little spring.”
“But there was more I wanted to say before you interrupted me with this.” He ground against Aleron’s hips, stirring his softening cock within him.
“It can wait.”
As could his reunion with his kindred.
He opened his wings just enough to peek at the outside world, finding it was still bright even in the shade of the trees. Faded, but they had time before the sun truly began to set.
His bride needed rest. A small nap was deserved, and he’d like Gideon to rest with them as one.
Honestly... after so much longing, Aleron just wanted to soak up as much of this as possible. He hadn’t felt truly content since they arrived on Earth. His essence needed this healing moment more than he’d like to admit, and he savoured every second of it.
