He pinned her down with his entire body. One hand slapped against the table’s surface right next to her head, clawsthunkinginto it when they stabbed, while the other curled underneath her body and wrapped underneath her jaw.

“Quiet,”he snapped, and she realised he’d clamped her mouth shut by force to silence her.

For a long while, he just held her tightly.

The heat coming off him was intense, but now that there was a pause, she could feel how hard, heavy, and fast his heart was beating as it thumped against her left shoulder blade. She still tried to wriggle to get free but eventually settled when she knew there was no point.

She was trapped beneath him, and since she was forced to breathe only through her nose, she kept taking in his heady, mouth-watering aroma. Her lungs swelled in delight, only to quiver out her breaths.

“I amveryangry right now.”She tried her hardest to look up with his hand forcing her head a certain way. His skull was facing her, his forehead only millimetres from brushing against the table, and she took in the crimson red of his glowing orbs.“I don’t wish to hurt you, but running from me entices me to hunt my prey. And Mayumi,everythingis prey to me.”

Leaning on his elbow, his free hand came up so he could undo the button of his cloak. She heard the material shift as it slipped to the ground.

“Never run from me again, especially when I am enraged. I am not always in control of my hunger. If you had gone much further, you might not be alive right now.”

When she attempted to turn her head side-to-side so she could free her jaw and speak, he clamped her even tighter. It felt like her teeth would grind together into dust if he pushed any harder. His hand spanned her entire neck and jaw to the point his fingertips reached behind her ears.

Her eyes narrowed into a glare.

The more he spoke, the calmer he seemed to be, but she knew that was just at the surface. He chuckled darkly at her expression, but his voice had finally reverted back to normal.

“You are insane, little hunter.” Unable to gasp, the noise that came out of her sounded like a stifled mew when she felt his claws run over the side of her hip, down the side of her arse cheek, and then down her thigh. “You have no idea what I have had to deal with over the past few days.”

He didn’t need to move his body at all to reach down to her boots and slip them off, even when she tried to evade him. One thud followed another. Then he slipped all her bags from her body – showing her that he wouldn’t be reasoned with in his decision to keep her here.

Then his hand slipped underneath her. He clawed off each button of her jacket, then he yanked it off her and tossed it to the ground. He undid her belt since it was easy to do just by pulling the tongue to the side, and she heard her multiple weapons clatter against the floor.

“However,”he growled. “Now that I have tasted you, made you come upon my tongue, have heard your sweet little moans...” Her pussy clenched not only at the memory but also at him reciting it. “If you ever have the essence of another male on you, I will leave, and Iwon’tcome back.”

His orbs morphed into a bright green again, and she now knew with absolute certainty that they signalled either his jealousy or envy.

Mayumi stilled completely, her eyes widening. All her anger deflated out of her, and she tried to shake her head. She was given no room to do so.

Faunus forcibly tilted her head to the side so he could bury the end of his snout into her hair. He gave a large exhale as he parted his jaws around her ear, making the strands of her hairline standon end in reaction to the wrapping of heat. He was smelling her as though he’d waited an eternity to do so again.

“I will take that male’s scent into my memory, and instead of protecting you, I will hunt for him... I will hunt for him, I will find him, and I will destroy him.” The chuckle he let out this time was even darker than before, filled with menace. “Do you think the walls of towns can keep my kind at bay? We choosenotto attack because we know we will massacre everyone inside them.”

Faunus loosened his hand just enough so that she would be able to speak.

“Do you understand?”

“Yes.”

Before she could add anything more, he clamped her jaw shut again.

“If you no longer want my touch,” he continued, as he slipped the sharp points of his claws underneath her shirt just above her arse. Her eyelids fluttered against her will when she felt them and his callused palms and fingertips gliding over the small of her back. “Then I will no longer touch you, but I will remain here and protect you, as I have promised.”

Mayumi couldn’t help bowing her torso into the table, a heavy exhale leaving through her nose when he cut those sharp claws back down her spine.

Then they dug into the waistline of her leather trousers, the backs of his smooth claws cool against her flesh.

“Don’t think for a moment that I can’t smell your growing arousal, Mayumi. I was hoping to come back here and have the freedom to touch you,” he stated as he slipped his tongue over his fangs. “So, choose your answer wisely because I will not ask again. May I?”

The tension around her jaw loosened again.

This domineering side of Faunus was turning her gut inside out, making it flutter and quiver. Her nipples were already hardand aching as they pressed deeply against the dining table she lay upon.

Her eyes flickered between both his glowing green orbs. His face was upside down as he leaned his forehead against the table’s surface.
