Page 147 of A Soul to Touch

Then Faunus tensed around her as he squeezed and squeezed right before a poor, choking whine came from him. She knew he wanted to thrust by the minor twitching hip thrusts he gave as he held her down, but they ceased immediately when she finally felt his barbs latch on and force them together just as much as his tentacles.

His claw dug as he let loose a bellowing roar just when a heavy gush of come splashed right against her cervix he was nearly pulverising.

Her tongue poked out, shivering in delight at the heat, the liquid, at him filling her. Any ache she felt was melted in the toe-curling bliss of his release.

She happily accepted all of it – there were no repercussions to him doing so.

Can’t have what you want if you don’t take my soul.It was obvious he longed to, and that made her smile dazedly at the sunlit ceiling with her heart swelling fierily.

Everything seemed brighter, like her pupils were heavily dilated. It even made the dust particles sparkle more than before, showering them in glitter. At least his lack of thrusting allowed her mind to spiral back to reality at a nice relaxing pace.

She felt the last of his release squeezing out of her.

She was pretty sure it had leaked all over his hand and legs, but he didn’t seem to mind. Especially when he slumped over her with wild aftershocks making him twitch and shudder and jump against her.

His tail released her, and she buried herself against his frantically heaving torso. Well, only her face did since her arms were fucking numb and filled with grainy pins and needles from being behind her for so long. They hung languidly against him.

She nuzzled his fur, hoping he thought she was being adorably sweet, when really she was just getting rid of any evidence of drool or tears she unfortunately shed when she was that far gone.

Mmm, lemongrass,her groggy mind murmured.

“A baby, huh?” she said with a quiet, teasing tone. “Never thought I’d hear that from a Duskwalker.”

Or that one wanted to mate and breed her specifically.

Fuck knows what I’m doing anymore, but that usually would be a major turn offfor me.Instead, she was pretty sure that was one of the reasons she’d come so hard.At least we don’t have to worry about it for now.

For now.

When she realised he’d never responded to her, she pulled back so they could face each other. He wouldn’t let her, instead hugging her tighter like he didn’t want her to look at him. Was he feeling vulnerable? Had he been too caught up in the moment and spilled a secret he suddenly regretted sharing?

She hoped so, wanting to dig up every buried puzzle piece of him.

“I have always wanted to know how you would feel about it,” he said quietly. “It was not even something I realised I truly desired until recently.”

“Because of me?” she asked just as softly, a tender smile curling her lips. She adored that she could be the one to make him realise things like this about himself.

His response had her pouting.

“No. Magnar, one of the Duskwalkers I have mentioned, managed to have a youngling with his bride. I have witnessed humans with their own younglings, but I never thought it was possible for a Duskwalker, so I never cared. I am not the kind of creature to wish for things I could never have.”

Except for me... right?

“And then I came along and showed you how amazing I am?” He better fucking tell her that because her pout was about to turn into her biting the ever-living shit out of him in retaliation. “That it’s possible.”

“And then you came along,” he echoed, which lessened her pout.

He brushed his claws in what was obviously a nest of hair from the light sting she felt as he started to untangle the knots. Perhaps he was doing it to soothe her of her concerns since she always relaxed against him when he did.

“When I met their youngling, Fyodor, I was very curious about them. It was odd seeing what I may have looked like when Iwas small, and even though it wasn’t mine, I felt this undeniable burning desire to protect them. When Fyodor held my finger in their tiny hand, I knew then that I wanted my own... even if I no longer could.”

Even if I no longer could...

Mayumi sighed, knowing if she offered her soul so he could, he’d still deny her.

“As happy as I was for them,” he continued. “I was also very... envious. I had only just obtained the crack in my skull, so it felt like my pain was worsened by learning of their creation. It made me realise there was more that I would never be able to experience.”

“Faunus,” Mayumi gently called as she leaned back with her brows knotted together so tightly she knew it screwed up her whole face.
