Rule four: keep your scent minimal.
It was late into the night, the waning moon rising higher, and Mayumi thought she had such a deep puddle between her thighs that it was soaking her underwear.
She wondered if Demons could pick up on her arousal, but she also cared very little if they could.
As the night continued, she recounted more rules.
Rule Nine: never take your eyes off your target.
She nocked another arrow and unleashed it into the back of a Demon that was sneaking up behind Faunus while he faced off another.
They’d managed to attract multiple Demons, more than she’d ever seen before, because of the number of bleedingbodies they’d collected. Faunus had eventually lost his mind to whatever forces caused him to go unhinged, but he never got the chance to turn on her.
By the time he started eating everything around him, another Demon would come to steal his food – and then die.
Rule twelve: if your companion is injured, do not try to help them. Protect them from a safe distance until the sun rises.
That was a dark, foreboding rule. If someone tried to help a bleeding companion, there was a chance they could be killed themselves trying to bandage their wound – a wound that would continue to attract the Demons.
It was better to protect them from a distance and hope they could both last until the sun rose.
Mayumi hadalwaysfollowed that one rule, even when she didn’t want to. She’d been hated for it by many as a team leader, and she couldn’t count the number of human deaths that were a result of her decision. She’d also saved many more by doing so.
But she’d break that rule if Faunus was in serious danger. She’d leap from this very roof with her sword raised above her head if need be – even if it put her in his enraged sight – so long as his skull didn’t crack further.
She’d do it in a heartbeat.
Rule seventeen: if you see a Duskwalker, you may choose to either fight it and die or run and die – there is no escape.
Here she was, fighting alongside one while also wondering how she could get herself on top of its cock without being mauled to death. Her breaths were laboured, her cheeks warm with arousal.
She even considered fanning herself when he let out a nipple-pearling, pussy-spasming beastly roar to the sky, covered in blood from bony head to pawed toes. She wanted him to roar like that while he was ramming into her and forcing her to drown in the waves of bliss-filled oblivion.
Rule eighteen...
With her head resting on the pillow of Faunus’ shoulder, Mayumi let her eyes slowly peek open.
With dust particles dancing all around them in the sunlight that filtered into the room, the first thing that greeted her was his bone-encased, furry chest slowly rising and falling as he laid on his back for her. The leg she was lying on was straight, while the other was bent and thrown over his torso. It was the same for her arms.
Her entire body was pressed against him, although not nearly enough of them were touching since she was wearing a shirt.
There was a slight stab of claws into the backs of her thighs since his hand was cradling her arse, his middle finger dangerously close to being between her legs.
She rubbed her drowsy face against him to wake herself further before letting her gaze fall onto one of the windows next to the fireplace.
It’s definitely past midday, she thought, noticing how bright the sky was. A bird flew overhead, giving a tweet she didn’t fully take notice of.
Instead, she let her eyes fall back to his chest so she couldfollow her fingertips diving through his fur.We were awake even after the sun rose.
Hell would have frozen over before Mayumi let Faunus in her clean home saturated from skull to pawed foot in Demon blood. A bath had been ordered, and he’d grumblingly accepted the demand.
A smile quirked her lips.
He didn’t complain when I gave him a massage, though.
Actually, he’d managed to get sleepy while still partially in the water with his arms and upper chest lying over the ground’s edge. She was certain he’d been purring the whole damn time.
In pampering him after fighting Demons throughout the night, it’d been Mayumi who had eventually fallen asleep lying over his back.
