Ari groans. “Can we not do this again?”
“Moving on,” Lane bellows, turning to Rory and Cole. “We have an early game on Sunday. Would you two mind watching Sage that night?”
“Sorry, man,” Cole replies. “We’re celebrating our anniversary Sunday night.”
“We can do it,” Knox chimes in. “Harlow and I can take her.”
“Yes!” Harlow shouts. “We’d love to watch her!”
Lane chuckles. “Thanks, guys. Appreciate the enthusiasm.”
“What do you have planned for Sunday?” Ella asks.
He turns to me now. “I want to take Liv out. We haven’t had a proper date since we actually started dating.”
“I’d love that,” I smile.
“Perfect,” he murmurs, gently kissing me.
“Do I get to know what you’re planning?”
Lane looks at me teasingly. “Where’s the fun in that, Ballerina?”
Well, I guess it’s a good thing I like surprises.

Afteranearlymorningworkout, I flop onto one of the clubhouse sofas. Ari sits down next to me.
“It’s too early,” he groans.
“Go to bed at a normal fucking hour, and it wouldn’t be so bad,” I chuckle.
Cole laughs from his stall area. “I think it might kill him to go to bed before midnight.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Ari chides. “I’ll be better.”
“I’ll believe that when I see it,” Knox says under his breath.
“Heard that, dick.”
Josh stretches out his arms in front of us. “You know it’s true.”
“What the fuck did I do to get shit on right now?” he grumbles. “I had more hits than all of you yesterday.”
“I don’t even bat,” Knox states, “so of course you had more hits than me. I didn’t evenplayyesterday.”
Changing the subject, I look at Knox. “You and Lo still watching Sage tonight?”
“Yeah, Lo might leave me if we don’t,” he laughs. “She can’t wait to have her over.”
“Appreciate it, man. It’s hard to find alone time with Olive when I have a kid.”
“After what Sage said on Friday,” Josh says, “it sounds to me like youandOlive have a kid.”
I can’t help but smile at the thought.
