“I want you to tell me exactly what you’re sorry for.”

“I’m sorry for sleeping with your girlfriend,” he says in a rush.

“And.”

“And for drugging Felix.”

“You know what the ironic part of this whole situation is?” I ask him.

He flicks his eyes toward the door.

“Go ahead and scream,” Jace urges. “See how many people come running to your rescue.”

William opens his mouth but closes it a second later.

“That’s what I thought.” I smirk at him. “The ironic thing is you could have walked away from this with minimal recourse. Your mistake wasn’t fucking my girlfriend, it was fucking with my stepbrother.”

“I’m sorry,” he whimpers. “Please.”

“More,” I tell him in a low voice. “Beg me to spare you.”

“Please spare me,” he pleads. “Please. I’ll do anything. Just please don’t do this.”

I glance over my shoulder at Felix. He’s leaning against the wall with his arms wrapped around his middle and squeezing his legs together. His dick is rock hard and tenting his sweats, but his attention is on me.

“What do you think, little brother?” I ask. “Was that good enough? Should I spare him?”

Felix’s grin deepens, and he shakes his head.

I return my gaze to William, who looks like he’s either about to pass out or puke. “You heard him. Not good enough.”

Felix lets out a whimper that turns into a loud groan and rubs his back on the wall like a bear scratching himself against a tree.

Jace cuts across the room and stands next to Felix. A brief flare of jealousy hits as he wraps his arm around Felix’s shoulders and holds him against his side, but I shove it back as Felix rubs his cheek against Jace’s shoulder. It’s not a sexual move or even a flirty one. He’s tripping balls, and the friction feels good, that’s all.

I return my attention to William, who’s pressing himself into the wall behind him like he’s trying to merge with it.

“Tell me how you drugged him,” I demand. “I want to know exactly what you did to him.”

“I…I don’t remember.”

“I know,” Jace says helpfully. “Felix told me.”

I keep my gaze fixed firmly on William. “Tell me everything.”

“He accosted him in the hall and shoved him in here,” Jace says. “Then he pinned him against the wall and winded him so he could force the pills into his mouth. When he was done with that, he choked him out until he swallowed them.”

I let Jace’s words wash over me and welcome the mental images they bring. I don’t need them to be pissed off, but I want to know exactly what I’m punishing William for.

“Then he stayed with him to make sure he didn’t puke them up and bailed when they started kicking in, leaving him here alone to deal with the high by himself,” Jace finishes. “Based on what he said, we missed him by a few minutes. Did I get that right?”

“Yeah,” Felix answers.

“Is that true?” I ask William.

His silence tells me everything I need to know.

“Run,” I tell him.
