My chest prickles with heat and excitement at not just his tone, but how he’s looking at me. It’s so intense, so focused, and fuck if I don’t love it.
Not trusting my voice, I nod.
Jax looks between us, then flicks his gaze to his brother. They stare at each other for a few beats, like they’re locked in some sort of mind-meld.
Before I met the twins, I never really believed in twintuition or anything like that, but I sometimes wonder just how connected Jace and Jax actually are. I’ve seen them have entire conversations without saying a word or even changing their expressions, the same as they’re doing now.
I have no idea what they just decided or why, but they break eye contact and Jax gives Killian’s shoulder a little slap.
Killian nods to him. The twins turn on their heels and leave the room, moving in perfect unison.
“That’s not creepy or anything,” I mutter as the door closes behind them.
Killian doesn’t say anything, and now that our audience is gone, I squirm under his scrutiny.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” he asks in a dangerously low voice.
“I didn’t think it was a big deal.” My eyes dart around the room as I try to avoid his glare.
“Liar.” He takes a step closer to the bed. “Now, are you going to tell me the truth, or are you going to keep making excuses?”
Nervous energy joins the excitement rolling around inside me, and I scrub my hand through my hair, still avoiding his gaze. “I’m not making excuses.”
“Really?” He crosses his arms, and I can’t stop myself from checking out how the tight fabric of his t-shirt clings to his biceps and makes the muscles pop.
I tear my eyes from his arms.
“Because either you want this guy to kill you, or you want to piss me off so I’ll punish you again.”
His expression is hard and angry, but there’s a fire in his eyes that lights me up from the inside, bringing all the emotions and feelings I’ve been repressing to the surface in a giant wave.
I scramble off the bed and wedge myself between it and him. We’re toe-to-toe now, and my entire body feels like it’s charged with electricity. “You’re wrong.”
“I don’t think I am.” He leans in and puts his lips next to my ear. His cheek is so close I can feel the heat coming off his skin. Notes of sandalwood, black pepper, and musk wrap around me, and I have to stop myself from pulling in a deep breath.
It’s not his usual cologne, that’s full of dark, earthy tones with hints of leather and cardamom. This is his real scent, the one I’m surrounded by at night, and along with a wave of calm, I’m hitwith a jolt of arousal that’s so strong it makes something deep inside me throb with need.
Killian chuckles softly. His warm breath tickles my ear, and I can’t hide the shiver that rips up my spine or the goosebumps that break out on my neck.
“Tell me you don’t think about how eager you were to suck my dick. How much you loved being on your knees for me,” he says in a throaty voice that hits me right in the chest.
I should shove him away and end this now before things go off the rails again, but I can’t. I want him, and I’m tired of pretending I don’t.
“Tell me you didn’t love having my eyes on you while you got off for me. That you didn’t love when I came all over you.”
My mouth falls open in a silent gasp as he drags the tip of his tongue over the shell of my ear. Tingles explode deep in my body, and an embarrassing whimper escapes my lips.
“That’s right.” He nips at my ear, biting the lobe hard enough I let out a little yelp of surprise at the sting of pain. “You can’t.”
“So what if I did?” I bump my hips forward and press our hard dicks together. “This doesn’t lie, big brother. You liked it just as much as I did.”
A low growl rumbles out of him. He’s so close our chests brush, and I grind my dick against his.
He grips my ass, holding me so tight against him our bodies are completely flush.
“There you go, kitten. Show big brother exactly what you want,” he says, his lips still next to my ear.
“I hate you,” I grumble, letting my eyelids slip closed as another shiver of arousal rips through me.
