Done driving for the day. Made it to Winnipeg today.

Made it to Sasktchewan today. You still up?

Yeah, still not sleeping well.

All right. Once upon a time there was a boy who was driving across the country to get back to the girl he couldn’t stop thinking about. Every minute felt like an hour, every mile like a hundred.

Oh, I like this story! What was the boy thinking about the girl?

Mostly, he was thinking about how much he missed her. How he didn’t realize until he was away from her how much she’d come to mean to him. How much he liked having her be a part of his life.

He sounds obsessed. Maybe he should be paying more attention to the road.

Probably, but she’s pretty unforgettable.

Saw my aunt today. Everything with the baby looks good.

I’m bummed that I couldn’t be there with you.

Close to the border between Alberta and British Columbia.

You’ll be there for the next one. That one is a big deal because they’ll do the anatomy ultrasound to make sure everything is progressing as it should.

No chance I’m missing that. Send me the date, and I’ll add it to the calendar.
