When I realized what he was asking, a tear slid down my face as I nodded. "Yes." His finger caught it as it raced down my cheek.

His hand slid to the back of my neck and I tilted my head up to his when he kissed me. My hands slid against his shirt, bunching it up when his mouth coaxed mine open and his tongue caressed mine. I felt alive again. It wasn't just a physical reaction but a deeper one of love and affection that I held for this man.

When he broke the kiss he leaned his forehead against mine and took my hands into his.

"I love you, Sarah Reynolds."

"And I love you, Matthew Weiss."

His lips touched mine again. The feeling of secure love filled me.

"I have a request," I said, pulling away from him, nervous as to how he would respond, but it was something that was eating away at me.

"Anything," he assured me as he looked deep into my eyes.

"I know you love being a bodyguard, but I need you to be safe."

He nodded, understanding. "That's something I have already considered. The company is expanding and someone will need to take on a more managerial role. You were going to be my last assignment."

I was relieved to hear that.

My hands fell to rest against his chest as his arms wrapped around me. I leaned against him, breathing him in. It felt like I was finally home, where I belonged: with him.

His lips brushed against my forehead.

"It's been hell without you," I murmured, hugging him close.

"Same here." His hold tightened slightly. I looked up at him.

"If I hadn't come looking for you, we wouldn't have sorted everything out."

He shook his head. "There was no way I was ever going to let you go. If you hadn't come today I would have showed up at your house eventually, determined to show you we belonged together."

"Really?" I searched his eyes.

He nodded. His gaze dropped to my lips and I lifted myself up on my tiptoes to kiss him. My arms connected around his neck, bringing him closer. I wanted and needed more.

His mouth teased mine and my tongue slid tentatively against his. His hands tightened on my hips. My hand slid through his hair as he kissed me harder. My need for him pulsed through me and I wanted him so badly.

A need outweighing any reason took hold. There wasn't time to undress. In a frenzy of kisses, he backed me up against the wall. He bunched my skirt and ripped my panties off in frenzied passion.

I leaned back as he unzipped his jeans and pulled his boxers down.

In one swift motion he filled me and I gasped. I stopped myself from making any further noise, far too aware of Mark still waiting outside for me.

Slowly, he began to move, faster and faster. I clung to him. His mouth covered mine as I started to tremble. I closed my eyes tightly as my climax pulsed through me. His followed soon after.

Afterward my legs felt like jelly. He kissed my forehead before he got dressed and helped me back into my clothes. My torn panties I pocketed. I smoothed my skirt down.

"That wasn't enough," I said, walking up to him and pulling him closer for a kiss.

He smiled against my lips. "We have later."

Forever, I thought to myself.

Never had I truly believed in love—but now I did.
