ate through needles and tubes before

but cannot eat with the iron mask

crash broke part of the mask

bared part of the jaw beneath

ate bones

ate flesh

ate blood

blood sings a strange song

humming softly

like her in the darkness

like my moonlight

moon sings the same song every night

hmm, hmmm, hmmmmmm

cannot make it with monster voice

only snarls

only growls and roars

can only hear her song at night

when she whispers

not in words

but she doesn't need words

"Come to me."

"Find me."

"Consume me."

same plea, every night

harder to hear her tonight

easier than when in concrete cage

but the clouds are many

and my moon is small

harder to hear her
