“Okay.” I climbed off the bed, grabbed my sweats, and skimmed them up my legs. My dick was perking back up again. I had to be careful going out into the hallway. My roommates didn’t need to see this.

Ryder carefully tucked his firm cock into his jeans and shook his head with a chuckle. “It won’t go away. Jesus Christ, what have you done to me?”

“Come on.” I snatched his hand and slowly opened my door, then peeked each way. The hallway was clear. “Let’s go.” A quick shower with a jerk off session, then we’d have the rest of the day together.

After our shower,we dressed in my bedroom, then strolled into the main room.

Gabe and Jeremy sat on the couch, watching a news program, and drinking coffee. Gabe flicked his gaze to me. “Oh, hey guys. Things went well, I take it?” He smirked at me.

“Yeah, they went well.” I ambled into the kitchen. I was starved. Apparently having multiple orgasms with your best friend made you hungry.

Ryder stepped to the couch, scratched his neck, then dropped into the end by Gabe and Jeremy. “I have to thank you both.”

I pulled two waters from the refrigerator and twisted around, then watched. I didn’t want to interrupt this and needed to hear it.

With a soft smile, Gabe paused the news show and said, “You’re welcome, Ryder. You’re one of us now.” He leaned over and patted Ryder’s knee.

“Is he an official band wife?” Jeremy glanced back at me.

“Yes.” I walked out with the waters and handed one to Ryder. “We’re boyfriends.” I puffed my chest out.

“I have to say, I’m not surprised.” Gabe chuckled.

“You’ll like this bunch, Ryder.” Jeremy smiled at him, then tensed his brows. “Let me know if you want to talk more about anything. It seems you and I had similar experiences.”

“Yeah, it was really helpful to hear how conflicted you’d been at first.” Ryder unscrewed his water bottle, then took a sip. “And to know I wasn’t the only one who might have confused romantic feelings for something else.”

“Admiration was the only way I could describe it. I always thought I was admiring guys, when in reality, I was attracted to them.” Jeremy glanced at Gabe, then entwined his fingers in his hand and kissed the back of it.

“Well, you’re not confused now.” Gabe beamed at Jeremy.

“No, definitely not.” Jeremy faced Ryder. “When do you think you’ll come out to your family?”

“Uh, don’t know.” Ryder twisted his bottle in his hands. “I don’t think it will be a problem. My family loves Milo like he’s one of us.” He threw me a smile.

I rounded the couch and sank in next to Ryder. This was big news. He’d already been figuring out how he was going to come out? “So, you think your dad isn’t going to care?” I wasn’t so sure about that. He was more conservative. He didn’t have a problem with me, but with his own son?

“I-I don’t know.” He gnawed his lower lip, continuing to twist the bottle. “Guess we’ll have to see.” He flashed his eyes at me. “I think I’m more worried about my new Cap and crew in Chandler.”

“How was your gay friend perceived up in Flag?” Gabe planted his elbows on his knees and studied Ryder.

With a shrug, Ryder said, “It was a mixed bag for him, I think. There are always assholes, but he proved himself out on calls so many times, I don’t think it left anything for the assholes to complain about.” He exhaled. “I’m afraid that’s what it’s going to be like for me. I’ll have to be better than the straight guys in order to earn their respect.”

“Ryder, you got a medal that one time, right?” I placed my hand on his water bottle to stop him from twisting it. The medal had to count for something with his new company.

With a glance at me and a smirk, Ryder said, “Yeah, I uh, I saved a hiker during the Pipeline Fire last year. Almost had my ass handed to me when a tree went down right next to us.” He slowly nodded, his gaze going far away.

I moved my hand to his forearm. There were some things he never talked about. I was pretty sure he’d seen some horrific shit on the job. Maybe now, he’d feel like he could talk about it with me. “So, your new crew will?—”

“Shit, lots of guys get medals. Saving lives and property is what we do.” He drank his water. “How about we get some breakfast? You guys got anything around here I can cook?” He gave Jeremy a wide grin, then turned it on me.

“Yeah, we have eggs and bacon.” Jeremy stood up. “I’m down for that. We were just finishing up our coffee first.”

Ryder held his palm up. “You cook the eggs and I’ll do the bacon?”

Jeremy slapped his palm. “You got it.”
