“Let me round everyone up,” Jaron finally said, walking away.

“Who did we lose?” Sam asked.

“Psycho and one of the new prospects.” Cyrus huffed, scrubbing ahand down his face. “I’ll call their families.”

“I’m sorry,” I finally said.

The brothers looked my way.

“It’s not your fault, little one.” Cyrus let out a harsh sigh.“I’ll help Jaron with this shit. Go get her checked out.”

While Sam and I headed to my car, I couldn’t help but wonder ifCyrus only said those words because of his brother. Whatever was going on withWill needed to end but something inside of me told me that it was far frombeing over.

“We’re heading to theclubhouse now,” Sammy said, squeezing my inner thigh.

“Good. Jaron and I are here, along with everyone else,” Cyrussaid from the cell I was holding. He was on speaker since Sam was driving.

While they talked, I looked out the window. It was the morningof the following day. We were tired, exhausted even, but I was safe and so wereour babies. I was able to get checked rather quickly once we got to thehospital. Our babies were strong, but I was advised to get some rest as myblood pressure was still high. Any higher and I would have to go on bed rest, which was something I didn’t want but would, of course, if it came down to it.

After it was determined that me and the babies were fine, thepolice started badgering us with questions.

We met a Detective Baldwin who seemed nice enough but neitherSammy nor I had any information for her. She told us not to leave the countryanytime soon and we were now finally on our way to the clubhouse.

“We’re here, Red.”

My head turned, finding a large house sitting in front of us andthe car no longer moving. “Oh, I must have been in my head. Sorry.”

Sammy gave my thigh a squeeze. “You’re probably tired too, whichdoesn’t help. Let’s go and get you to bed.”

“Are you going to join me?” I asked, hopeful that he would.

“As much as I want to dive into your tight as fuck body, youneed your rest,” he said and left the car.

I sighed, doing the same.

“We’ll stop by your apartment later and grab some of yourthings.” Sammy came around to my side of the car, pulling me into his arms.“Okay?” he murmured, pushing his face into the crook of my neck.

“Okay,” I breathed.

“I was worried I lost you, pet.” His mouth found the side of mythroat, his body shaking as he took a deep inhale. “I was worried I lost all ofyou.”

“I’m here.” I brought his hand to my stomach. “We’re here andsafe.”

“I know.” A shuddered breath left him. He stepped away from me,holding out his hand. “Let me introduce you to my bed, baby.”

Shewas safe. I saw that she was safe. I even heard it from the doctors and nursesat the hospital. But even though that was the case, it didn’t stop me fromwanting to tear Will apart.

It didn’t help that Will was now nowhere to be found. It waslike he was teasing us. Making us think that he would show up and then poof, hewas gone. It annoyed the fuck out of me and made me moodier than usual.

“Sam.”

My head lifted from the bottle of beer I was nursing. I waspicking at the label, the bottle half empty and probably warm by now.
