An image came through a minute later, showing me her long, beautiful legs. Every cell in my body stirred.

Me: If you’re up to it, I’d like to have those legs wrappedaround my face later.

Red: They can be wrapped around your face while I suck yourcock. How does that sound?

Me: Fucking hell, I love you.

I could almost hear her laugh from here.

Red: I might head to Rouge to work a few hours. Depends on how Ifeel later. But that’ll give you something to look forward to. Love you, Sammy.

Me: Be safe and I love you too, Red.

I didn’t want her to work but I understood that she needed themoney, so I never argued with her.

“Hey, we weren’t expecting you.”

My head snapped up, finding my brother standing on the frontpatio. “I know. This is a little last minute.” I put my phone away and trudgedup the path to him. “Can we talk?”

“Of course.” He clapped my shoulder. “Everything okay? We werejust about to sit down for lunch if you wanted to join us.”

I shook my head. “Thank you but I just stopped by to tell yousomething.” I pulled my wallet from my pocket, figuring showing him would beeasier. “So…” Taking the ultrasound picture out, I handed it to him. “Thishappened.”

Cyrus took it from me, his eyes widening. They snapped to mine, back down to the picture between his fingers, back to me. “Really?”

I nodded. “Twins.”

“Fucking hell.” Cyrus pulled me into a hug. “I’m going to be anuncle.”

I swallowed hard at the thickness in his voice. “You are.”

He leaned back, cupping my nape. “Are you happy?”

“I am. We’re still trying to wrap our heads around the fact thatshe’s carrying twins, but we are. Very happy.” This had been the first time ina long time where Cyrus and I actually spoke about our feelings. It wasn’tsomething we did often. Not since he and Ainsley started dating. “I told her Ilove her.”

“It’s about fucking time.” Cyrus pulled away from me and went tothe front door of the house. “I know you said you’re not staying but come inand see Ainsley. She’ll be pissed if you don’t at least say hi.”

Doing as I was told, I followed him into the house. “She said itback.”

Cyrus stopped, looking at me over his shoulder. “Were youconcerned she wouldn’t?”

“I don’t know. Maybe? I’m not an easy person to get along withand I know I’ve been moody.” I shrugged, not liking this sudden anxiety rushingthrough me. I needed Amber. I needed the comfort of her arms wrapped around meas I tried gathering my thoughts.

“We’ve been through a lot, Sam. All of us have.”

“I know.” I thought a moment, shoving my hands into the pocketsof my jeans. “I am happy, but I feel like something is going to fuck it up. Idon’t know how or when but something’s going to happen. I’m not being paranoid, but Amber has…baggage to say the least.”

“Need me to look into things?” Cyrus asked, the protector in himcoming out. “That Will fucker bothering her?”

“He’s making noise and I need to know what he wants.”

“I heard you had a run-in with him at Rouge,” Cyrus said asAinsley came down the hall.

“Hey guys,” she said softly.

I held my arm out, waiting for her hug.

“I did. The bastard wouldn’t leave Amber alone. When I chargedinto the room and found her in his arms but not because she wanted to bethere,” I explained as Ainsley hugged me from the side.
