“Oh, but Ido. I want you to always remember me because no matter what happens or where Iam, I will always be with you.” He took the blade, bringing the tip to my innerthigh.

The momentthe sharp tip touched my skin, my body tensed. I tried going to a safe place inmy head. Somewhere Sammy and our children would be. But no matter how much Itried, the agony brought me back to reality.

The bladesliced across my skin, digging in deeper and deeper until a scream shatteredfree from my lips.

White hotpain seared into me, making my vision fade in and out.

“You’llalways remember me,” Will grit out through clenched teeth.

After awhile, the pain turned into a dull throbbing ache. My chin wobbled with silentcries, tears leaking from the corners of my eyes. “Please,” I whispered. “Justlet us go.”

Will cuppedmy inner thigh, pressing down until a rough cry left me. “Never.” He squeezedmy thigh one last time before finally releasing me. Our eyes locked. Once upona time, I used to have feelings for him. But that was so long ago. Now all Isaw was a monster. A vile human being who threw a tantrum because he didn’t gethis way.

He liftedhis hand to his mouth, his tongue licking up the length of his palm. “I alwaysknew every part of you would taste good,” he told me, my blood coating hislips.

“And peoplesay I’m sick in the fucking head.” Price chuckled, releasing my arms.

I pushedaway from them, curling into myself and moving closer to my mom. Even thoughshe was no longer alive, I needed her to comfort me.

“Let’s go.”Will threw my leggings at me and stood, rounding up the guys before heading tothe door. “You’ll always remember me, Princess.” Those were his final wordsbefore they left the room.

Inchingcloser to my mom, I checked for a pulse even though I knew she was no longerwith me. “I’m so sorry,” I whispered, tears streaming down my cheeks.

A sharppain erupted through my abdomen, forcing a gasp from my lips. Cupping mystomach, I prayed that my babies were okay. I calmed my racing heart, leaned myhead against my mom’s side and waited.

Sammy

I heard her screamsand I felt them down tothe center of my very soul. They controlled my thoughts and my actions as Itook the lead, and we went through the men who had taken Amber. It didn’tmatter that they never touched her themselves. They worked with Will, theydeserved death.

After Amberleft with Will, the rest of us tore through his men. We slaughtered, we maimed,we did shit that could put us away for the rest of our lives. But it was worthit to end Will, Price, and the other fuckers working with them. Most of all, itwould be worth it to get Amber back and into my arms.

We had madeour way to the compound, losing none and killing many. We had rage at our back.It was a driving force as it led us to our ultimate task.

Kill Willand Price.

Save Amber.

And buryher mother along with our own.

“Price ismine,” Jaron said, pulling me from my thoughts. “If he’s here, I want him.” Hescratched his temple with the barrel of his pistol. “You know, Piper’s told methat I’ve been on edge lately. Maybe this is what I need.”

Death andmayhem. It was what a lot of us needed. But for me, I just needed to take Amberand get out of there. I needed to make sure that she was safe and that ourbabies were okay because without any of them, what was the point?

“How manydo you think are inside?” Jaron asked, pulling his second piece from the backof his jeans.

“Will, maybe Price, and who knows who else,” I answered.

“We’ll goin the back,” Tiny told us, heading toward his crew. “Get Amber,” he yelledbefore rushing off to help his brothers.

Anotherscream sounded from inside the building, pulling me forward.

My name wascalled out, but I had enough with the waiting. Barreling into the building, Iwas stopped short by the vast expanse before me. No one was around and thescreams had stopped. I was vaguely aware of the guys coming up behind me.

Taking astep forward, a door in front of us opened, revealing Will, Price, and two guysI didn’t recognize. Everything in me told me that Amber was in that room.

Willnoticed us first, a slow grin spreading on his face. “It’s about time youjoined us.”

“Leave himfor me,” I told Cyrus and Jaron. “I need to make sure Amber’s safe first.”
