“It’s called a knot, baby,” he says charmingly. “You’re mine now. Take my seed, sweet demon.”
“Oh, my Gods. Please… fill me…. I want to carry your babies,” I begin to beg as another orgasm washes over me. I tense up and tighten my muscles around his cocks, as he groans through his release. He grunts with his final thrust as he fills me with his seed again.
When we finally separate, I am still panting, trying to catch my breath. We hear screaming coming from the direction of the camp. We both jump up simultaneously, scrambling to throw our clothes back on before running toward the screams.
Chapter Twenty Six
Lilith
Iammostlyasleepwhen Thuly suddenly jumps up to his feet and begins to growl. His sudden movement startles all of us, and we jump up with him. I step out of the tent with Thuly to see what could be triggering his sudden defensiveness.
For a moment, I think that Thuly is lunging at me as he whips around and charges behind me. I hear his teeth sink into flesh as he grabs ahold of something behind me and slings it to the ground. I turn to face another noise and see this abomination lumbering towards me. I scream as I lift my hands, putting up a barrier just in time for it to slam into the side of it. Everyone begins pouring out of their tents and starts to shift when three more appear from the treeline. I let my barrier down slowly as the ball of flame licks at my fingers, forming into a ball. I shoot the fireball at its chest. It connects, knocking it backward to the ground.
“What the fuck is that thing?” I yell. When I get a closer look, I see that it is like an amalgamation of shifter corpses. They’re all three times the size of a normal shifter. They all have different tails and paws. Some have wolf or lion heads, but one has a dragon head. They smell like they’re decomposing as they attack us.
The rotten puzzle of a shifter gets up and charges at me again, so I pelt it with another fireball. It was knocked back once, so I keep sending them. I don’t give this thing a chance to get up so I can inch closer and closer to it. Thuly is back at my side growling but doesn’t interfere with my spells. I keep shooting fire at the thing until it stops moving. When I look up, Vash and Leli come running out of the woods. The smell of sex rolls off them, and I laugh. Leli just grins at me as she walks over with Vash.
“What happened?” Leli asks.
“Well, while you two were fucking in the woods like bunnies, we had an issue with…” I stop and look at the corpse. “Whatever the fuck that is.”
“It’s like a zombie shifter. It’s just pieces of different shifters pieced together into one body. They are controlled by magic,” Dad says.
“Wonderful,” I sigh. “We will need to start putting barriers up at night when we camp.”
“That would be a good idea,” Striker says before looking at Dad. “Is it weird to know that both of your daughters have been fucked in these woods?” Dad groans and walks away from us, shaking his head.
“He loves us,” Leli laughs.
“Thuly won’t even touch that thing,” Kael says.
“Because it smells like rotting meat. My baby has a refined palate. Fresh meat only,” I say, scrunching my nose up at the stench. We burn the corpses where they fell. Dad has enchanted the flames so they burn hotter to make quick work of the bodies.
“I’m going back to sleep.” I sigh as I turn back towards our tent.
“I’m sure Thuly will alert us if anything else happens,” Daemon says. Thuly goes up on his hind legs and places his front paws on Daemon’s chest as he scratches him behind the ears.
Chapter Twenty Seven
Volis
Isendmyeyesout to check on the warehouse again. It’s been relatively quiet overall. Lilith sends updates when she can, although I haven’t heard from her in almost a week. The warehouse looks the same as it did this morning, but I see that Zypher is on the phone.
“What do you mean you killed her?” Zypher growls. “You were supposed to bring the bitch to me. We had an agreement… No, I said you could do whatever you wanted, but she had to be alive. What the fuck am I going to do with her dead body?”
My stomach churns at his words. My concern for Lilith grows. Is this why I haven’t heard from her, and now Zypher has a dead body?
“No. No. Our deal is off… Remember who decided to bring you in on this rather than killing you like I’ve done all the other witches… No, Lilith Deverall is dead, and now I have three hundred foxes to kill.” Zypher ends his call and throws it across the room in a fit of rage.
I pull back to my body as emotions of anger and sadness well up. “What’s wrong?” Alatar asks.
“She’s dead,” I say quietly. “Zypher got a call, and some witches killed her. He’s going to kill all the foxes.”
“Fuck,” he sighs. “Are you sure…”
“Zypher wanted her. He wouldn’t kill his only leverage unless he had no use for them,” I snap.
“Okay,” he says simply. “What do you want to do?”
