Page 54 of Red's Revenge

Evelyn bursts through the door and slams into both of us on the bed.

“Oh my God, Cami!” They sob as they hug, and I gently shift so that they can have the bed.

“Doesn’t matter. They all die.” Kit stands and pulls out his cell phone.

Evelyn glares at us and puts the pieces together.

“It matters. I want the balls of the one who hurt her.” She hisses the words that I feel in my soul.

When I look at Cami again, I can see it was all three of them, but something shifts, and her face darkens.

“Cyrus.” With one name, I know which one she believes deserves our justice.

I nod and grab Kit’s arm to drag him into the hall, but Evelyn’s voice stops me short.

“Red? Make it hurt.” I nod.

“You have my word.”

We all sitin Clayton’s office at The Courthouse. All my brothers, Pa, and a few friends my Godbrother sent from New York when he heard what was going on.

“Pirate wishes he could be here himself. He said he misses Elizabeth’s pecan pie. Good to see you, Rabbit. Long time.” Knight shakes Pa’s hand, and it’s like looking back in the past.

My Pa hasn’t worn his cut in a few decades but tonight it’s been dusted off and worn proudly with his fellow biker brothers.

“Ambassador,” Knight turns to Clayton, who just grunts in response.

“I called in a favor from a few friends. You guys know the MorningStar MC out of Paradise, Nevada, right?” Clay points over to the corner where King and Cannibal work on a laptop.

Our brother Kooper is the Vice President of their New Orleans chapter, so when he couldn’t ride out to help, he sent the next best thing.

“Heard of them, yes. Worked with them? Never had the pleasure. Anyone willing to help out our family is fine with me.” Knight grins as he cracks his knuckles.

“You boys good with horses? Cause we aren’t taking any bikes where we’re going,” Stephan asks all the bikers.

“What’s the plan then?” Knight crosses his arms and glances at me.

My godbrother’s Vice President is a scary motherfucker on a good day, but right now, he is lethal. He’s here to help me serve up Cami’s revenge any way we need to, and I’m not sure how to express my gratitude.

“Step one, we find all three Danders. We need to cut the head off those snakes in one strike.” Colton stands at my words and nods his head at us all.

“Good hunting. But I’m going to leave before I can no longer represent any of you if you are caught.” He slaps my shoulder as he hugs me.

“Got something!” Cannibal says from the corner.

“How well do you know them? I mean, I know Kooper trusts them, but have you dealt with any of them previously?” I ask under my breath to Clayton.

His bar has served as a neutral territory for multiple clubs over the years, and even though I’m happy for the help, the fewer people who know what I’m about to do, the better.

“They have a long-standing motto throughout the US. They protect and save women. No questions asked. The one with the glasses is the original Vice President and has dedicated his life tothat mission to honor his wife, who was abducted years ago. He calls it a fucking hobby.” Clayton rolls his eyes as we stop in front of the man.

“It is a hobby. One I need to give up and retire from.” He glares at his President, who shifts to adjust his stance.

The man’s wearing a prosthetic leg, and I want to hear the story, just not right now.

“Thank you, all of you. You said you had something?” I lean in to look at his computer.

“I got all three of those fuckers in this building here. It looks like it’s pretty isolated. The closest neighbor is twelve miles away. Who owns the smart car?” He takes off his glasses and looks up at me.
