“I like it when you pretend to look appalled. It’s convincing.”
“Trust me. I’m not faking.” She sounded unaffected, bored.
I knew better. Her responses told me otherwise. “Just so we’re clear, you can say no. And when that happens, I hope your friend enjoys watching me take out Julie Parker, who willingly puts out.”
“You’re a pig.”
I shrugged. “Never said I was otherwise. Do you think that prom queen crown is one-size-fits-all, or is it fitted?”I love riling her.
She huffed. “You’re pathetic and disgusting. But since I don’t have any other choice… fine.”
Her hands went to her jeans, and she snapped the button free. I swear my tongue about rolled out of my mouth. But that wasn’t the way I wanted it.
“Not here. Not like this.” When I could put my hands and mouth on her wherever I wanted, it wouldn’t be in the school’s basement or even my car. It would be where I could lay her out, see and taste every sexy part of her, and make her see the fucking moon and stars.
She redid the snap loudly, then her hands fell to her sides in fists. “You have to apologize to Gia for how you acted at lunch.”
“I planned on it.” The only reason I’d ignored Gia was because of Sky, not that I would let Sky know that. But damn, she affected me more than I cared to admit.
We parted ways. It was left unsaid when we would meet next, but I doubted I could wait past the night to call in what she owed.
The day dragged, and with each passing hour, Sky occupied more of my thoughts until she was all I could think of. Time to call her favor due.
I would wait to do everything I wanted to her later, in a better setting, but for the time being, she would fall apart in my arms from a simple touch. She didn’t seem the type to hang around after school, which meant I needed to get to her fast. I stalked through the crowded hallways after the last bell rang with a single-minded purpose.
Increasing my stride, I rounded the corner that would take me to the school’s main entrance and the hallway with Sky’s locker. The crowd parted at the right moment, and I saw her long, dark hair as she slammed her locker and turned toward the exit. I couldn’t let her leave, not when I had things to do to her. People moved out of my way as I closed in on her.
Curling my hand around her arm, I pulled her to the side then bent to her ear. “Meet me in the tower—now.” Then I released her, noting how her blue eyes turned dark and stormy. Her lips pressed together, not detracting from how full and soft they looked.
“Here?”
Already turned away, I didn’t bother with a response. The door to the stairwell yielded beneath my palms as I pushed it open, heading to the tower. It slammed behind me. I made it halfway up the second flight before a loud squeak sounded as Sky entered the stairwell. That door made an exuberant amount of noise, which served well as an alarm should anyone enter after us.
The third flight took me to the small alcove in front of the large front window. Anticipation climbed as she closed the distance between us until she stood before me, anger sharpening her features. It only enhanced her beauty and fed my dark desire to a nearly out-of-control inferno.
I hooked my finger around the strap of her backpack and slid it over her shoulder before lowering it to the ground. I had fifteen minutes until I had to get to practice, and I planned to use ten of them making Sky scream my name. But first, I needed to help her relax.
With my hands on her hips, I drew her close. Her eyes widened, and her lips parted with a gasp as she came in contact with my body. I was already hard and straining for her. I grazed the side of her arm before burying my hand in the back of her hair and slanting my mouth over hers. The small part between her lips was the perfect invitation, and I devoured her. Within half a second, she melted against me as I explored her.
Her breathy moan fed into my mouth, and I angled her head to deepen the kiss until she pressed against me, searching for more. With her palms flat on my chest, I kept her hands trapped until I was ready to turn her. My tongue tangled with hers, and I struggled to maintain some semblance of awareness of our surroundings. Just one touch and Sky could eclipse everything else, but I couldn’t let things get too out of control due to the setting and time constraints.
So soft.I couldn’t get enough of how she felt in my arms. How responsive she was—perfect in every way imaginable. I wanted to devour each inch of her, but I didn’t have the luxury, not that afternoon.
I broke our kiss and pulled back enough to drown in her hooded, desire-filled eyes, inviting swollen lips, and how right her body felt against mine. But I had plans and gently turned her in my arms so her back was to my chest. We stood in front of a large window in the tower at the front of our school. People milled about as they talked or boarded the buses lined up along the curb, while others headed to the parking lot.
With the sun’s angle, they wouldn’t be able to determine who was framed in the windows—if they even looked up, which most people didn’t. Sky wouldn’t know that. The position would feel vulnerable, which would also work to my advantage.
I held her in place. My hand still fisted in her hair as I angled her head to the side and tilted it to take her lips in another drugging kiss. She relaxed back into me as I popped the button of her jeans then slid the zipper down. They were tight, and I had to release her hair to push them down her hips.
She broke the kiss and gasped. “What are you doing?”
I let her take in our surroundings, and her body stiffened slightly against mine.
“Cashing in on our deal. You asked me to keep paying attention to Gia and not other girls, like Julie Parker, who are more than willing, so I want to get my fingers wet with you.”
“You’re crude.”
I was, but she didn’t complain.
