It was impossible to keep my eyes off her face. They roved in worship, admiring her every flawless feature. Her seductive lips, their wide curve crowned with the most perfect bow. Her smooth skin and that beauty mark that I could kiss for life. The strong cut of her jaw and chin. The powerful eyes with the most brilliant deep browns I had ever seen. She could kill you with those eyes. Nothing I had ever imagined or dreamed about could come close to having her in my arms like this.

She was the epitome of power and grace. A goddess. A queen.

“It was you,” I whispered against her cheek before placing a light kiss on her beauty mark. “It was you I dreamt of that day at the beach. You were responsible for my condition that evening.”

A surprised gasp escaped her lips. She held my face between her hands. “I need to tell you something, Sujit. I…I feel so helpless, and I don’t want to be left looking like a fool again.”

As her hands dropped to her side, I stepped back to give her the space she needed. I lifted her chin with my finger. “You know you can tell me anything, sweet girl.”

“I said I liked you…a lot. But…that’s not the whole truth.”

My brows furrowed in confusion.

“I think I’m in love with you.”

My hand dropped as my frown deepened, and she got a look on her face like she had just made the biggest mistake of her life.

“Think?” I prodded. “So you aren’t sure?”

She blinked. “I am sure.” The words that came out were tentative.

“I thought you didn’t believe in love and rosy endings?” I continued my sweet torture.

She saw the jest behind my serious facade and rolled her eyes. “I didn’t. Then I met a hopeless romantic who changed my worldview.”

“Is that right?” I said and gripped her earlobe between my teeth.

“Sujit,” she said, putting her hand on my chest. “You aren’t bothered by it, are you? This is no longer a what-if situation. It’s a what-now one.”

I smiled. “We don’t have to worry about what-now because I know exactly what’s going to happen next.”

“What’s that?”

“We are going to say fuck-you to the world and live happily ever after because I’m absolutely, positively, life-threateningly in love with you.”

She brought her hands around my nape and pulled me in for the most rapacious kiss I could have ever imagined.

My breaths came in short huffs, my hands incapable of deciding where to rest.

“Bedroom. Now,” she ordered, and I pounced on her mouth again. Her breath was alluring and reassuring. Her touch, both fire and its salve.

She held my hand and rushed us to the bedroom. At the edge of the bed, she dropped the nightie down her glorious body and stood before me. The dark red rubies gleamed with pride on those mounds of gold. She brought my mouth over them, one after the other, and sighed as I licked and nipped at her nipples. They were so tight and felt so right in my mouth. As if they were made for me. I wanted more of her. All of her.

“Let me taste you, sweet girl,” I said, and her face flushed.

She slipped up the bed and opened her thighs very slightly. Reluctantly.

“Wide,” I instructed. “Wider for me, Aarti.”

Her back arched at my words, and her toned, shapely thighs parted for me.

I slipped off my shoes and tore off my socks before climbing on the bed to hunch on my knees. As her eyes met mine, peeking over the rim of my glasses, she took her lower lip between her teeth.

“I never thought I’d have a glasses kink,” she said with a mischievous glint in her eye. “Or maybe it’s a Sujit in glasses kink? Yes, that’s it. I have a Sujit-in-glasses-eating-me-raw kink,” she declared.

“Good, because that’s exactly what I plan to do. Eat you raw, my sweet, sweet Aarti.” I bent and placed a tender kiss just below the wisp of fine hair. Her eyes dropped shut, and her back arched. A smile beamed on my face.

“Look at me,” I whispered, and she did.
