“We need to keep going.” Dayne’s voice sounded a bit strained.
“Am I tempting you?”
“You are. And again, this isn’t the best place to do anything about it.”
“Understood,” Heath repeated, reluctantly freeing him and stepping back.
Dayne blew out a relieved breath and pointed to the last two rooms. “Room eight at the end and on the right is for extreme play. Again, anyone into electro-stimulation, wax play, blood play and the like. We put it at the end on purpose. By the crowd down there, I’m taking an educated guess that the room is occupied with the blinds open. I’d say let’s not shock Cara with that. Just yet.”
Heath’s eyes sliced to her. He agreed with not scaring her. “Baby steps,” he murmured.
“I think it’s for the best.” Dayne turned toward her. “However, I don’t want to take that decision away from you. If you want to head?—”
“I’m good for now,” she quickly answered, with her cheeks still flushed. She was also wringing her hands together.
Heath pulled her twisted fingers free from each other, lifting one hand to his mouth and brushing his lips over the back of it. “Like he said, you don’t have to do anything you’re not comfortable with. This place is set up for pleasure, not fear. Not everyone has the same tastes or kinks. Some desires are much darker than others.”
“Apparently.”
“No rush to figure out what you crave. It’ll come naturally if you let it.”
“C’mon,” Dayne encouraged. “Let’s finish the rest of the tour before dark.”
As they headed to the exit, Heath wasn’t sure which playroom was his favorite yet. He might have to try them all and see.
Dayne showed them the spa,the sheds, the barn, the paddocks, even the farthest fields in double time. Heath swore both he and Cara had to hang on to the jostling UTV so they wouldn’t get launched out of it every time Dayne sped over a bump or hit a pothole along the dirt lanes.
On their way to the far end of the three-hundred-acre property, he only pointed at the new employee bunkhouse, explaining it was almost complete. He also did a quick drive-by of the half dozen employee cabins that were being built behind the bunkhouse.
The resort was set up similarly to a true ranch that housed their wranglers and ranch hands. The difference was, their business was merely enhanced by the livestock and animals they kept. They didn’t rely on them tobethe business.
On their return to the main resort area, Dayne hooked a sharp left at the cabins and parked behind the one farthest from the main dirt lane. He quickly shut down the engine and climbed out.
“Is this the more secluded spot you mentioned?”
Dayne’s answer was, “It is.”
Now, the only question was whether Dayne would actually get down on his knees or expect Heath to.
And what Cara would be doing during it.
Chapter Eight
The cabin’sexterior had been completed, except for installation of the doors and windows. Heath stepped through the framed-out doorway and glanced around to note, while the floor plan wasn’t overly large, it could fit a couple of people comfortably. Despite the size, he could tell by the framed walls that it was set up nicely.
The open floor plan would make the space look bigger once it was finished.
Plus…
He headed toward the window openings facing the mountains to the north. It would have an awesome view.
One definitely different from his penthouse in Hoboken, New Jersey.
Hearing footsteps behind him, he turned to see Dayne approaching. Heath took his time checking out the man he guessed was in his mid-thirties, from the top of his dark-blond head all the way to his dusty boots. Dayne obviously changed clothes for the tour since he hadn’t been dressed in jeans and boots earlier by the lake.
“You consider this secluded?”
“It’s private enough,” was Dayne’s response.
